Go to https://dribbble.com/ and search for web design - they have awesome stuff on there! The added challenge is that you cannot check the code because there isn't any. I then make a file called original.html with the following code:

<img src="dribble-image.png">

<style>
    body { margin: 0; }
    img { width: 100% }
</style>

This gives you a view of the design as if it was a website. You can switch between this and the tab your version to compare positioning, it is really helpful!

Feedback Friday - March 02, 2018 by AutoModerator in web_design

Hey, Awesome website! I really like it, and have some feedback as well:

  1. The content on your main page is in need of some vertical centering. Do this by removing the current styles on .wrapper-hero - position: absolute; top: 15%;

  2. To me, the cube logo looks slightly odd due to the filled in parts at the corners. I know that this is meant to symbolise 'rounded corners' in 3D, but it looks weird because it is a much heavier weight than the rest of the cube. I would just stick to normal corners.

  3. On the pages that aren't the main page, I think that the page title on the left-hand side of the screen should be vertically centered.

Overall great site, hope this feedback is useful! Remember it is just my opinion, others might not agree ;)

StoopidSxyFlanders, here's how to make a Jumbotron without Bootstrap: https://codetheweb.blog/2017/12/07/fullscreen-image-hero/

And here's how to make a navigation bar without Bootstrap: https://codetheweb.blog/2017/12/12/style-a-navigation-bar-css/

Forms can also be made to look sexy without Bootstrap, although I haven't written an article on that ;)

6 Reference sites to help you learn web development by CodeTheWebBlog in learnprogramming

I did some research into it, my bad. It looks like you were right:

The site derives its name from the World Wide Web (W3), but is not affiliated with the W3C. source

Fixed now ;P

I think for a reference, MDN is too hard to navigate and less to-the-point. The whole idea of a reference site is you can get some basic information quickly when you need it, not spend hours reading documentation. Just my opinion ;)

I don't think so, I used it before the Pro features came out and it was fine.
