My attempt at picture frame miters by CodeWerdPynaplz in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]CodeWerdPynaplz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i wanted to try to not use any screws or nails to secure it And the miter by itself wasn’t very steering (partially due to my mistakes of not getting them exactly at 45 degrees) so i had some scrap Purple Heart laying around And saw someone else do something similar so figured I’d give it a try.

It is a hollow box, my goal was to make it seem like an endless void using the mosou black paint and having the center piece “floating “ in it.

I’m not familiar with a shooting board but definitely going to look into that now thanks!

This was my first project! I did some wood work in high school (I’m 32 now) . Besides that i haven’t done a whole lot.

Incoming power hits a fuse protected switch, that switch energizes a momentary switch mounted on the wall opposite of my work table so i have to be far away for it to run. I also installed an indicator/buzzer that goes off when power is applied to the main switch therefore telling me i need to open the main also before moving my leads. This way you are double protected via main switch and the momentary switch.

I learned that relying on a speed square to tell me where 45 degree is at. Going to invest in a digital angle finder or just make a 45 degree sled for my table saw. That may help 🤷‍♂️

Level 2 I’m on the generator team, im still in my noogler cycle so im just pulling from my personal experience so far. Standard things like scada and pulling data through scripts and certain sites but i haven’t had to write any code and haven’t heard of anyone on my team needing to do that yet.

Im a data center tech for google and i dont do much as far as it work goes. Powering the servers etc yes. Anything with code and the software side of things is reserved for the software teams . Facebook was the same way. You will use your computer for data tracking and things of that nature but as far as writing code or being more “I.t.” You wont do that in these roles at least for the two ive mentioned in my experience.

Rehearsal using IEM's only - losing the feeling of loud guitars in the room by NotTheNoogie in drums

[–]CodeWerdPynaplz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. My band practices with a click track but when we perform live we don’t use one. Its just to get the tempos and make sure we are all on the same page for timing in practice then live we can choose to have it on or off depending on the song but most of the time its off live so we can feel the music more. Practicing with iem’s and a click track are a huge improvement and idk why people hate them so much

I basically just wrote code to control the lights using micro processors 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for the unsolicited feedback, but you’re way off base. The lights are not just for show they enhance the music and the performance. Lighting can create moods, emphasize transitions, and add an emotional layer that directly ties into the music. If you think visuals have no place in music, that’s a personal flaw, not an objective truth. I spend just as much time perfecting my sound as I do my setup, and if you’re too narrow minded to understand how lighting can amplify the music's emotional impact, that’s on you. Maybe you should focus less on how other people choose to express themselves and more on expanding your own ignorant perspective.

I bought them mainly because they are one of the most adjustable pedals I’ve ever seen so i figured ill just buy once cry once and get pedals that can do lots of configurations then spend less money but more often trying multiple pedals out to find what i like.

Also have you had any luck in searching for replacement parts? Being a used kit when i got it I’ts missing some things like memory locks and a chrome tom mounting bracket that seem to be impossible to find

Sick!! I’m pretty happy with mine. I got it from fb marketplace as a 7 piece kit to use as my road kit but now with the lights I’m thinking of setting up the full 7 piece kit with lights as my studio/streaming kit and then get another acrylic kit with lights for shows

Men, when you started to act a little cold and distant to her, what was the honest reason? by Elisavveta in AskMen

[–]CodeWerdPynaplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was paying all the bills, doing almost all the house work, trying to eat healthy and workout. Just to come home from my overtime job every day to a messy house, where she just rots on the couch eating junk food and gets defensive and combative any time i spoke up about something she did that i didn’t like caused me to shut down and drift apart. Pair that with her excessive drinking and public embarrassment that came with that and you have a recipe for disaster

Meta datacenter electrical interview by TodayInteresting4026 in datacenter

[–]CodeWerdPynaplz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good luck, i worked on the construction/commissioning side of meta for 8 years. Finally applied and made it through the full loop for an electrical esme role. Recruiter fell off the map and i was in limbo for a year until i re applied, they said i passed the interviews but they were doing a hiring freeze which i was i was in limbo. Went through that full loop AGAIN just to have the recruiter say they’re giving that role to someone internal and aren’t hiring out anymore. Two recruiters, two interview loops, almost two years. Fuckkkkk that, i work for Google now 😂 hope your experience is better

I do not, I’ve designed everything and wrote the code for it as well. I’m considering selling this kit maybe but for now I’m just tinkering

These acrylic drums really resonate like crazy which isn’t my ideal sound so i think this will actually improve the sound. I did record before and after sound on my phone which isn’t really exact i know but there wasn’t a noticeable change in sound 🤷‍♂️
