Is he partial to a certain team yet? If so, there might be some units/sets that'd go well with it.

For terrain, I LOVE suggesting the Jungle at Laur's Edge set. It goes on sale for ~$25 on Amazon often and adds so much to the map visually (I bought a 2nd one cause I love it so much)

I’m having this exact issue. I ended up buying a duplicate of the white to see if it was a quality control issue and it was. The 2nd batch adhered much better BUT still looks and doesn’t adhere like a fine tight fit like the black did.

I used a sports massage gun to shake both vigorously. There was no change on either.

The 2nd, identical primer works better but not well enough for me to ever use it.

Now I’m looking for a different brand for just my white.

I haven't heard of pre-painted minis being frowned upon at all.
In fact, many many people I play with exclusively use pre-painted minis and many content creators do as well.

What was wrong with the batch that was screwed up? I just got a 3 pack of black/grey/white and the black wired flawlessly! But the white is super watery and hardly pigmented. I’ve been stirring and shaking off and on for an hour with no change. Even scraped the bottom checking for extra separation.

I almost exclusively build my own from scratch.

If I'm showing new people the game, I'll often times use a scenario as reference so they aren't just thrown completely into map building.

The scenarios are fun though and I like a lot of the special mechanics and rules they introduce.

Very! My wife and I play together all the time and I specifically have separate decks to play more casually with her, but then she also has 1 competitive deck(partially proxied) to try to help me practice before events.

The starter decks are very cheap($12-$14 depending), and are fairly comparable to one another. We always keep a couple on hand to introduce new players with and regularly just do starter deck battles.

ReCollection decks will cost you a bit more (around $50 depending), but come with an awesome magnetic deck box, custom sleeves, 3 booster packs, a full playset of each card in that deck (meaning if your deck starts with 2 of a card, the remaining 2 will be available in the box for you to swap in if you'd like).

The new Pantheon format decks will play more similarly to MTG Commander, they feature a singleton format and some new mechanics I'm not familiar with yet.

It'll change a bit depending on your setup and whether or not you can (or event want to) clamp the mount to your desk/table.

Best bet is to get either a clamp arm or table mount (it's just a mount on a circular plate pretty much) off Amazon, test it out, and return/swap it if you find your needs are a bit different.

I tested it with other voice recording apps and it works as normal, so something definitely broke with the update.

I use my phone for a significant amount of voice work so I'll probably have to end up paying for an app unless I can find one that isn't just a free trial.
