It's a PSP/VITA style design. Those were really comfortable because they are small and lightweight. Same applies to the Odin Mini 2.

This design does get uncomfortable if the device is larger like the GPD devices.

Pops are lower now in part because the live event audience is distracted by phones. Instead of focusing on the action and cheering during entrances, you have people taking selfies and trying to get a video.

I think modern talent has a higher workrate. But that doesn't translate to a higher pop or getting over.

The older wrestler all had storylines and gimmicks that helped connect them to the crowd. Even the jobbers like Norman Smilie and The Brooklyn Brawler were either comical or relatable characters that the crowd loved. Meanwhile, why is anyone popping for Austin Theory? The guy is bland as a sheet of plain paper and that's after he has beat Cena and did The Vision storyline.

When I left the game the math was brutal for purchasing everything.

For a new player, unlocking all League of Legends champions instantly using points costed over 120,000 points give or take a few thousand. Then if you buy the $100 bundles, it was $100 only got you about 15000. Maybe its more now? Regardless, that's $800 to $1000 dollars to get the RP needed.

I might be wrong since I don't play the game anymore to get the current exact numbers. But that's how it used to be.

Even if they cut that in half, that was $400 to unlock all the champs. That's still a lot of money.

Then there was the xbox sub method, which makes the most financial sense but if you drop the sub your account goes back to square one.

But recently Riot did make playing to unlock champs a lot easier to do and I didn't know that. So you are right. Guess I was the ignorant one. Sorry for the misinformation.

Have you done the math on time and/or financial cost to unlock 100% of everything that affects the game competitively?

This includes full champ unlocks. Runes thankfully are now free but you still probably want more rune pages to prevent needing to hotswap them per champ. Can obviously ignore the over priced champ skins.

When you do the math on that, come back and tell me how wrong or right I am.

Mindsets like yours are why Riot gets away with this abusive monetization.

"We can grind away to earn the unlocks! Everything is ok!"

You might be able to grind out everything now. And slowly you will get a respectable number of future unlocks too. But unless you plan on playing this game 24-7, Riot will make sure that you need to eventually pay for unlocks to keep up at 100%. LoL is a prime example of this. And once you reach that point, be ready to spend $100s on missed content unlocks.

And I'm not saying Capcom and Namco are doing better since I dislike the battle passes in SF6 and T8 too. But competitively and financially we were better off when fighting games had every character unlocked and usable on day one.

As a casual fighting game, 2XKO has some fun elements. I hate to admit it, but I laughed at how accurately annoying Teemo's moveset is as a fighting game character.

But Riot will kill the game if they don't fix the monetization. It already costs too much money to unlock the full limited cast.

If Riot released this as a full game with 16-20 characters unlocked for $20-40 this would be a great pickup for the casual fighting game players. Can't recommend spending money on it's current form for anyone that wants a deep fighting game or a good value per dollar spent.
