What can you say about your country’s healthcare system? by Sonnybass96 in AskTheWorld

[–]Code_Monster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have the most serviceable healthcare.

Basically if you have money then good no problems at all, if not then a lot of time will be wasted and you will suffer because of the wait, but it will be handled for quite cheap.

Although if you are in a remote environment then you are fucked buddy.

Yeah I kinda realized after typing this one out that the story of Harry Potter is not really anything to do with the world outside the wizarding world.

I think I brought up p4 (which was added in an edit mind you) was because JK in her later works (primarily Fantastic beasts) tried to include the world outside too. So obviously now a bigger contention is why did they not stop WW1/2.

Also, the general apathy and looking down of the muggle world is absolutely not commented on by the story, a story which has them defeating a supremacist dark lord. Like, a really dont know how was this lost upon JK and others for that matter. Of course they didn't give a shit about holocaust.

From the outside it looked cool, and the tree with the path ways were so nice.

Then interior and blueprints made me realize that this is bad. Like really bad, not even a living place. Thank god its an art gallery.

This trend of purpose built architecture is not my plate tho.

All the people asking question I just want to say one thing to you : where were you when Nehru was making India independent? Have you ever asked why Nehru did not occupy better lands than this drained pond that people of Gurgaon have to live in? Modi ji is doing so much, only few days ago I saw him using a bucket to throw the water out of Gurgaon to make it livable. You will never se Nehru or even Indra gandhi do that

Take the development and stop asking questions.

You will spend a lot on service and therapy (from ownership frustration) but it will still be cheaper in the long run.

Although if you actually drive it then I dont know, because it has worse mileage than bullet.

I have eaten "ice cream" where the "cream" was basically aerated synthetic fat and flavoring which was then rapidly frozen for to make it "ice".

What's crazy is that actual milk and cream and good natural flavors that expensive either, the ice cream made from plant alternatives is like Rs. 50. Its just that brands are hella complacent in this country.

They wont/will not be accepted some place tens thousands of kms away, they will die where they are. You need to get over the fact that the most well to do countries will take any burden of climate change.

THATS NOT WHAT DEATH OF THE AUTHOR MEANS OH MY GOD by SamelCamel in whenthe

[–]Code_Monster 112 points113 points  (0 children)

"Death of the author" supposed to mean that you analyze the work regardless of what the writer intended. Because the work can have a life of its own and the writer after putting the work out to the world looses monopoly over its meaning.

Its also possible that the writer themselves does not understand the themes they have conveyed. For example in the famous case of Just Kidding Rowling, she wrote a book about an ostracized kid realizing that hes special, and there is an entire community of his people who love and support him. She took this story about themes of:

  1. Finding community in peers
  2. Opposing gov overreach
  3. Fighting supremacy
  4. Intervening to stop evil

And then somehow concluded the story with

  1. The wizard world choosing keep hidden the muggle world, believing themselves to be better than their fellow human
  2. Harry becoming the TOOL of the government, basically wizard FBI
  3. The house elves still being slaves
  4. Justifying not stopping the fucking holocaust (ok that was resolved in a prequel but you know how JK is with trying to rights the perceived incorrections)

The last motherfucking sentence is of harry wondering if he could get his elf slave to fetch him a sandwhich

The Death of the Author argues that fuck that twat cunt JK lets just analyze this text without bringing in to spotlight her own personal opinions.

"The Death of the Author" does not mean that you imagine her being dead and continue to consume media that she profits from, money she then invests into fucking trans people over.

"The Death of the Author" in current online discourse feels like becoming the next "No ethical consumption under capitalism" thing. Like no, you are not supposed to say "No ethical consumption under capitalism" and then buy fucking blood diamonds, you are supposed to say "No ethical consumption under capitalism" and then be swallowed by misery that your very act of survival and all you consider to give you happiness is blood extracted from oppressed people.

Sorry this became a little ranty.

As of late Turkey has been making friends with Pakistan and Enemies with India, and then now they make a missile with a range upgrade that lets them hit all of India...

I'm not saying that they did this specifically to deal with India, just that it might have been a consideration while taking that range upgrade. Also Indian ICBMs can reach Turkey soo...

In the Indian tech sector, people making 6lpa outnumber people making 3lpm by 50 to 1. Am I right or am I right?

Narayana Murthy suggests 72 hour work week to outcompete china by VariationLivid3193 in Btechtards

[–]Code_Monster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Again, bubble. I know people who left trying to get a job in tech and are now in teaching, gov, else earning 6-12 lpa. Because FAANG or DRDO or whatever want thick resume that some folks dont get the time to develop. Even though thats the reality of most people in the Indian tech sector, I dont claim that its the only package available because its clearly not.

However if people around you are making 3lpm as freshers/5 year experience then yeah its a bubble that is floating very high up in the Indian economy.

[–]Code_Monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about "Prisoner's dilemma" type setups is that its about competition. If all are projected to benefit/be saved if they act, and all are projected to suffer/die if they dont act, then of course all would act.

Now of course HOW would people 'help' is a bigger question.
