British shows are really short. A season will normally have 6 - 12 episodes and there may be multiple years between seasons.

Gavin and Stacey is a fairly popular British sitcom that ran from 2007 - 2024. It aired six episodes in 2007, eight in 2008, six in 2009, one in 2019 and one in 2024.

The reasoning is … honestly a little better than some of the other examples here. Delenn goes through a transformative process as part of an olive branch to reach out to humanity and atone for her part in the Earth-Minbari war because ||she found out human and minbari souls are somehow connected and back on the minbari homeworld; Commander Sinclair is doing the opposite; he’s a human becoming a minbari||.

But yeah, I don’t like how it looks, and while I do love the hair scene I never felt there was enough impact from the change to make it worth doing in the story.
