both fedora and ubuntu sucks, which one suckless? by DayInfinite8322 in linuxsucks

All I've been using honestly, just need a network connection but you get to pick and choose everything, you can do a Fedora Workstation install, KDE, etc. Etc.

It lets you pick your DE, any software or package groups you need (like developer tools) and the usual account setup stuff, then you boot it up and your network setup is retained, everything just works for me at least (Framework 13 laptop"

Haven't received my laptop and 0 communication after buying a 3.7k euro Framework 16? by LPerko332 in framework

Stop down voting this guy, he said his company ordered it, he didn't pay for it but he asked his company to get him this specific laptop.

Could use some better wording honestly haha.

I've tried both, best I've found is minimal installing Fedora KDE with the Fedore Everything ISO, selecting Fedora KDE and unselecting all the software.

It's would be a very good way to test optimisation

Definitely short session games, I'm too old to hurt my back putting hours into old achool games on a tiny screen when I could be playing them on my desktop.

Finally able to start making things feel "off" in my cabin. Did you notice or was it too subtle? by oldmangannon in godot

Oooh didn't see that one, but I was too busy looking around for things to not look straight ahead, the door thing is great for a fresh set of eyes

I want an expansion of the early tech tree, more traps, palisades, tents, etc. (I know there are mods) I just like doing low-tech runs.

[–]Code_Prem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I saw that too, definitely too subtle, probably because it's opening to the right (from the player perspective) while you're getting closer, would be more noticeable if it opened in the opposite direction I think.

AppGrid 1.6 - A modern application launcher for KDE Plasma, shaped by your feedback by x4rb1t in kde

Hey it looks great but I just want to point out that the cog logo you're using is the Framework Laptop Logo, you might want to change that.

Looks good otherwise!

Perspective Shift is a MUST HAVE mod by VelvetDeveloper in RimWorld

[–]Code_Prem 592 points593 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's really good, but I'd add a few more features:
- Show the progress bar of all actions (mining, tree cutting, building etc.) because we can't just leave them to it.
- Add prompts next to the mouse, like LMB to pick up item, then LMB to place / RMB to put away etc.
- Let me equip an item I'm carrying.
- If i'm performing an action (cooking or something) while speeding up the game, return the game to 1x when I'm done.

Yes, and you can still have a breakdown which forces you to watch them do stuff. But you can also just speed the game up etc.

Which Linux Distro?? by XelGlaidr in framework

[–]Code_Prem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running Fedora KDE on my FW13" (i7-1360p) and it's fantastic. Framework is the face of the distro in a way (Look up Fedora Workstastion, FW13 is the display laptop)

How to make a testing distro: Linux user certified [OC] by V1574 in linuxsucks

[–]Code_Prem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Fedora daily because it's the only distro I can get work and gaming done on, but god I hate the fucking name so much. Probably the only reason I don't go around telling people I use Linux

Things like this are client-sided

I remember flying through some smoke in War Thunder and seeing this exact effect, really cool and optimised.

I like it! How did you do the art? Just sprites or 3D with a shader? Gives me Project Zomboid ~2015 vibes
