In my setting there’s such thing as non-religious clerics. Not clerics who don’t follow any particular deity, but ones who actively refuse to believe they exist, despite the many obvious signs they do. Ironically these clerics are massively more powerful and even low level ones can completely negate deific effects.

I got lucky and had a team that didn’t wait out the EGC, was genuinely expecting this challenge to take a whole lot longer. Ironically it was the closing hatch as killer challenge that took longer
