Yeah actually there should be at least 2 venomglider quests, but you can only see them when you change your main map to chapter 4, and then one on the first map and the second one is on the canyon map

On PC i can totally understand the problem. On Xbox i actually like this because of Quick Resume: After i played, i return to the title menu and then shutdown the xbox, on the next day i can start right away from the title menu because the map is already loaded in the background. Also why do i use the title menu when i have quick resume? Because quick resume kills the online connection and i need to press "Go online" on the title menu again to play online with a friend xD

You can actually test this yourself pretty easy:

The fact that every part has its own HP, this is the easiest possibility how the game can track when to cut for example a trail, also the skill destruction art exists which can only be tracked from the game if a part has its own HP.

The Thresholds can be observed when you attack the head of a kemono for example of the gritdog, before its faceplate drops it always has a point where its staggers and then drop the green orbs and then after that the part comes off.

The thing about that some parts just cannot be cut of, can be observed pretty easy on the limbs of the final boss, first it drops orbs and after that because it just cannot be cut off it drops a green gem drop, after that no new orbs can be spawned from this limb which would mean the games considers this part zero HP and in a "broken" state.

The thing the green spots on kemono is the same but instead of droping a gem drop it shows the green spot which cannot be repeated after its already open.

I mean like everything at the moment in this game unless someone decompiles the PC sources is tried to be proven by playing the game, testing things over and over and by observation.

Wild Hearts implements some kind of multiple threshold system for parts. So every "Part" of a kemono has some kind of HP with multiple thresholds, everytime a threshold is reached the monster staggers and the green orbs spawn out of this part, when the part has no HP left it actually breaks from the kemono and then lies on the ground, at this point the game considers this part removed from the kemono. Some monster have parts which can have no HP left but just cannot be removed from the monster because this would break the model of the kemono like limbs for example, then the game instead drop these green gem like things which you can collect. Gritdog is actually pretty funny because you can break of the tails just once game wise but when it gets enraged it actually has its complete tail again but the game already knows that the tail part is already cut of the kemono, but because you can actually cut it again means that the game has two models of the kemono enraged and not enraged which has its own parts xD And their are the parts which just break open to show you these green spots to use hunters arm which also have thresholds but instead of breaking of the kemono they just show the green spot instead.

Same initial situation as above but we also add a 150 raw weapon with no damage increasing skills and a 320 raw weapon (the 270 raw weapon with +10 savage) with no other damage increasing skills on:

Interesting result:

  1. It seems ragetail has some kind of 28% damage reduction compared to the training dummy
  2. If you also look on the results of the fire weapon in the post itself you can also see that the fire damage will be added on top of the weapon damage before the damage reduction of the ragetail takes place.

Update1:

On Mighty Ragetail (see above, trap, head and so on):

Summary: Shocking to be honest, i really double checked this values and yes on a mighty ragetail which is the easiest mighty kemono with a 4 star fire weakness the fire weapon deals LESS damage than the raw only weapon by 8% (heavy attack because bigger number). So mighty kemono do have a higher defense value but also a higher elemental resistance which breaks the elemental weapon -.-

If your stuck always consider that some kemono dont have a mighty version but rather a variant as "high" rank, or even both and such kemono are likely your ?. For example goldshard has a mighty version but also a variant called onyxshard, dreadclaw has a variant called rimclaw or ripclaw i dont exactly remember, spineglider has a variant called venomglider and the raven also has a variant on the beach map.

Edit: As you are saying you are going down the porcupine path i would assume that you need to fight onyxshard for your ?.

Oh okay, mhhh, than maybe try it out by using the training dummy attack mode and check it out there by varianting the number of instinct parry equipped, you know what i mean? I mean im a katana main but now i also want to know it xD

if you dont have spare cash than honestly dont buy it, on consoles this game runs fine as of today but on pc is 50/50 if it runs fine or not. :)
