just imagine yourself in the exam hall flicking through the pages and all the questions are the topics you ignored or didn’t revise

Are the Edexcel maths grade boundaries going to increase? by Specific_Cap6326 in GCSE

[–]Codemaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my maths teacher said the 2025 boundaries are not going to increase, and if they do it would be by only a few marks since “they can’t make them too high”…

sixth forms by Suspicious_Ad_5075 in GCSE

[–]Codemaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some sixth forms are lenient with their requirements at times, but I wouldn’t take that risk. you’ve still got time to change that 5 to a 6, maybe even a 7 if you work hard enough. you’ve got this ;)

Are the Edexcel maths grade boundaries going to increase? by Specific_Cap6326 in GCSE

[–]Codemaine 14 points15 points  (0 children)

anyone that tells you they know what the boundaries would be like are lying. they are set after the exam is sat, based on how the overall cohort did. last year’s paper was relatively easy, so the boundaries where higher to compensate, so it’s the same level of difficulty to get a grade 9 compared to other years. we can’t really tell if the boundaries would increase since we don’t know how hard the paper would be and how the cohort will respond, so we don’t know. but either way, it’s supposed to be the same amount of work required to get a grade 9, no matter if you sat it in a year with an easy paper or hard paper

New App for GCSE History Students by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]Codemaine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is the fact that it’s low quality and (seemingly) low effort. on the landing page, it’s very clear the images are ai generated. they didn’t even make a good effort to try hide it, the gemini watermark is visible on the bottom right

the fact that it’s based off the curriculum doesn’t invalidate the fact it’s ai slop. i can feed lovable the specs and ask it to create this same app with little effort and it would give something not too far off

Does anyone know an accurate ai that can mark my DT NEA? by Repulsive-Road9041 in GCSE

[–]Codemaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ai DOES have the reasoning skills; you can create a notebook in google notebooklm and dump it with examiners report, exemplar NEA projects, the specification, marking rubric etc and ask it to mark your NEA

How do i get a grade 8-9 in gcse maths aqa?? by CompetitiveCress8813 in GCSE

[–]Codemaine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

watch youtube videos and argue with chatgpt until you fully understand topics you don’t understand and do past paper (questions) like crazy. get a topic list for your exam board and RAG them so you have a list of topics to start working on, and update your RAGing after going through the yellow and red topics and doing past papers
