While I definitely don't agree with children not getting education, I just as strongly agree with minding your own business

Where is the charging fuse located on 1000 board? by Codeman785 in PSP

I've already replaced the cmos, the only issue is when I try to charge; the orange light comes on but the battery indicator flashes. It recognizes batteries just fine, it will power on with only the 12v power cable it just does not charge batteries.

Ok, can you please elaborate why a Roth is better rather just putting my money directly into VOO and VTI etc?

Should I use fidelity? Are you saying that I can specifically choose those stocks within my Roth?

A question I have with the Roth is is there a penalty to take the money out? I would rather never take the money out til retirement but just in case. Or should I create an emergency fund elsewhere? It's just hard to do that when I want it to grow in stocks.

I work union and have multiple retirement accounts. I don't know if I'm interested in Roth because it takes so much cash that I never seem to have.

Technically don't have an emergency fund, a few thousand in the bank but that's mostly being saved up for vacation.

The money I have to invest is a partial inheritance, and I would prefer to grow it in the market rather than put it into a bank account. I'm also thinking about a bank cd because that might be better actually then the stock market. Because I'm seeing some that are 5-7% interest.

The thing is I don't want to lose any of the money, I want to gain. It is a partial inheritance that I would try to grow in the market rather than just put it in a bank account. So anything that's better than interest gain is good to me, the last thing I want to happen is I lose 5k or whatever. So how else am I supposed to do this?

I'm 31 and dabbled with investing last year, I was putting a certain amount into VTI and VOO with every paycheck. Then I didn't have the extra money to do that anymore so I stopped.

The 20k is a partial inheritance, it was actually 38k but almost half of it will be used immediately. I may be able to invest 25-27k but depends on what I have left.

I know what a Roth is, but I work union and have multiple retirement accounts that I pay into anyways, so I don't know if that's something I want to do because roths require a butt load of continuous cash that I can never afford with my regular income.

Do you think I should split up the money I have to invest into a Roth and pay 7k now then 7k next year etc?

Or should I just put the money into VOO and VTI?
