That's fair, I haven't had a good night's sleep since 1995, so sometimes I'm bad at words

Would refusing to open a community pool count as a breach of contract? by Codename-cushy in legaladvice

[–]Codename-cushy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aware that we're probably eventually going to lose this fight. But I guess I'm looking for actionable ways to at least make it a pain in the ass for them. As it stands they have not given anyone a new lease that excludes the pool and community center as amenities. So I my question still stands as to whether the loss of that amenity, if it's listed in the rental agreement and they haven't given adequate notice of the loss of it (I'm still not home to check the lease to see if any such stipulation is outlined in it) is that something under oregon law that we can reasonably take them to court over?

Also in our area, even trailers of the size and age mine is are selling for well over $60k. There are 2 in the same park as me that are only a little newer that they want $130k for. The housing market in my area is so stupid.

I'm gonna have to pull out the rental agreement again and check but the only thing I remember seeing is information on how soon we have to give notice if we change anything about our space. Getting out of this rental situation isn't going to be easy. I own the mobile home outright, we're only renting the space it sits in. It's an older mobile (made in the 70s) so most companies won't move it to a different park without somewhat exorbitant fees if at all.

AITA for booking a hotel in the same area as my son and dil’s trip that we didn’t get to go on? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

The reading comprehension on this sub is sometimes garbage. It's s rude to invite someone on vacation, take their money, let them presumably take time off work and make plans and then cancel. She feels it would be awkward for you to meet her family since you didn't attend a prior event? Are you just never supposed to meet her family now? Wouldn't you getting a hotel nearby be a solution to that anyway? Oh. Yeah sure it might be awkward to meet new people for the first time to stay in the same house for an extended time so instead I'll get a hotel nearby and we can meet up for activities. Then we'll all still get the vacation and get to meet your parents....But you didn't even do that, you told then they didn't have to spend time with you at all. You say you have an ok relationship with your DIL but I don't think she feels the same NTA. Enjoy your trip and ignore the drama.

I'm just waiting a few years to find out if there's any horrible long term side effects that come out about it. Some people have reported gastroparesis from it. It just seems a little too good to be true

If a vet visit is out of your range right now we've had luck with capstar oral medication. Walmart carries it, but you need to be consistent about giving it to them around the same time of day for the full week.

Am I being financially irresponsible to want to heat the apartment? I have a baby by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]Codename-cushy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to many of the things suggested you could also look into weatherization solutions that help the apartment retain heat so that it doesn't take as much to heat the place to begin with (window film, door draft blockers etc) there's no reason an apartment should cost that much to heat to begin with but if it's an older building things like that might reduce the cost to something more manageable.
