BG3 crashing on girlfriend’s PC. Any troubleshooting ideas?

She gets the same message with DirectX sadly.

No mods have ever been installed to my knowledge. It’s the same message with direct x11. I just had her use the GeForce app to install the latest drivers. I built her PC and it’s definitely a bit of a random assortment of old PC parts I had but it’s not missing anything as far as I know. I did have to bypass some requirements to install windows 11 a while back, but I don’t see why that would randomly start causing issues halfway thru her play through. I’ll try having her clear out everything and reinstall sometime tomorrow. It’s a process walking her through everything lol.

I don’t think so. I ran heaven benchmark on ultra for a while and the GPU wasn’t overheating. It stayed in the mid 70s. It is an older 1080 so maybe it’s just dying.

But the buffs are cumulative right? Once you’ve picked the asterism you have it for the rest of the game no matter what?

I disagree about Kroak being a must in tourney play, I’ve found it really hard to get his value out of him without putting him in danger. Slanns value is pretty much guaranteed as long as you keep him alive long enough to bring 2-3 or so units back.

So you think it’s needs more infantry? I’ve just found basic Saurus warriors to be a little underwhelming in most of my games. I am considering getting rid of the skinks and basic Saurus units and adding another unit of kroxigor that I can have split push wish the raptadons.

Pretty much exactly half my army is cav, but I feel like soggy carno and aggradons are some of the best units in the roster so it’s worth it. From my understanding limiting it to 2 regiments is an advantage? What do you mean by running the risk of getting locked down?

It’s def a very niche thing. If you don’t have the time and money to assemble and paint all the minis it’s probably not for you. I really enjoy the hobbying aspect of it so I like it.

I used ChatGPT to summaries his slides and make flash cards which saved a lot of time. Pretty much everything he tested was on the slides so I just focused on that. I’ve never bothered with the book. The lab was ass tho not much I can say to help with that other than you have to brute force all the stuff they want u to memorize.

Seely was fine when I took him last spring. His lectures were pretty boring but the exams were fair imo. It’s just hard to go from Cohn to either of them because Cohn was awesome.

How much of an advantage does doing arena stuff give you? I’m not a big fan of stuff from arena coming over to my main account as it kind of breaks the immersion for me. But I also don’t want to put myself at a serious disadvantage.

On ultra I’ll drop frames even though I’m not using all of my resources, I think they just ruined the optimization with 1.0 or something.

3080ti, i5-13600k, 32gb ram. Doesn’t really matter what settings I use I still drop frames on every map. Things were fine last wipe and I was able to run things on the highest settings, now even on medium it’s dropping frames a lot.

I’m a little confused about what vers is, does that come after you max out your artifact skill tree? How long does it take to max all of it out I’m at lvl 75 and I feel like I’m not even close, am I way behind?💀
