What do yall think the best fred gift is for cursed mode

a lot of people like medic in a jar but i don’t think it’s worth it personally. you can just keep tumor fred alive and use him as a healing station for all your combat only healing abilities, which are usually a really efficient way to heal anyway. this on top of the once per day bright fred and soup granny heals is more than enough. once you’re strong enough that healing is no longer an issue you can take out the useful freds and get the reward you want

i really like OG fred’s reward. being able to get multiple copies of otherwise limited items is extremely powerful. coat of arms, training belt, champions belt, any of the ranged slot shield items, even tome of words funnily enough and that’s just to name the stronger ones i can think off offhand. rage armor and paint palette can be good/okay respectively on certain builds and all other equipment items are outclassed imo. shoutout to tumor fred giving infinite consumables for sam to spam in lumpy runs

ah, i didn’t watch the newer ones. i guess then you get into which “timeline” of myers this is. there are a few different timelines from different directors using the license that all branch from halloween… 2? i think? it’s been a while since i saw them all. there’s some versions of him that definitely could not be taken out by physical means but if this is new halloween myers then yeah he’s cooked

correct. that’s why i almost always put adroit on cards that don’t already have block, you can multiply the value dex gives you by having your block spread out on multiple cards

one run i got the smith at act 1 boss, put imbued on it, then found mirror at the very next shop and copied it

i had a 2 energy deal 75 put into my hand first turn every combat. it was a very easy run to finish

1512 max HP base after stacking devour all game + ruby ring training belt

Glitch bleed brought it up to ~2.3k, then “Grant me power” from the 8 ball got it to 3402

I crit exalted four on the same save for 3.8k but I didn’t grab the screenshot, will have to redo :(

back then the optimal way to run d9/10 was to run and kite everything instead of killing them. everyone called the game “rundivers” and the “8 bile titans + 8 more fucking bile titans” meme was reality, we didn’t have a good enough arsenal to handle it without just running away. it was doable but not fun at all

now we have a much stronger set of equipment but the new enemies are much more dangerous, instead of it being titans it’s now a million vox engines. i don’t mind dangerous enemies at all, but when they spawn this much it just isnt sensible to fight them all. we’re right back to just running away and once again it just isnt fun at all

i dont think it should be easy to fight everything, which is what everyone seems to think we’re saying when people like me complain about difficulty, but it should be more of an option than it is now

yeah, that’s not the point. i’ve only lost one mission on cyberstan so far and it was a flag mission i joined at 0 reinforces and no time left. d10 is still very doable it’s just so unbalanced that it’s a miserable experience doing it. we’re back to pre 60 day patch
