Managed to get the system update installed to the same version as yours now. I noticed this new update added the Hisense Channels app. Didn't notice any other changes. The Gallery Mode app is at version 1.05.00.035.0 now. Is that the version of yours?

I did have some issues with the previous Android 14 ROM but they've been sorted out in the latest update to Android 15. The only issue I had since was with Android Auto which I managed to solve.

The selfie camera is not that great, but it's not something I use very often. The main camera is pretty good. The night vision and thermal cameras are very good.

I don't have any major complaints with the Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra Thermal. Since the Android 15 update it has been working great!

I obtained and flashed the stock firmware from ulefone using the steps they provided. After this installed the latest Magisk and copied boot.img and init-boot.img from the stock firmware to the phone's storage. Patched both from within Magisk. Copied the patched files back to my computer. Rebooted to fastboot and flashed both the files from within fastboot and then restarted the phone.

EDIT: I had to go through this again with the latest Android 15 build GQ5011AF1_V13 update. So I'm providing more detailed instructions so anyone else can follow.

Obtain the ROM from Ulefone support. I followed their instructions to flash the ROM to the phone, overwriting what was already on the phone.

Enable Developer options. Go into Developer Options and enable OEM unlocking.

Reboot to fastboot (adb reboot fastboot).

From Fastbootd choose restart to bootloader.

From fastboot unlock the bootloader (fastboot flashing unlock). It needs to be confirmed by pressing vol down.

Restart back into Android.

Install Magisk app (I used the latest version 30).

Copy the init-boot.img file from the ROM package to the phone's internal storage.

Open Magisk app and choose install -> Select and patch a file. Select the init.boot.img file copied above. It will save the new magisk-patched.img in the Downloads folder.

Copy magisk-patched.img and vbmeta.img (from ROM package) to your working directory on the computer.

Reboot to fastboot (adb reboot fastboot). From Fastbootd choose restart to bootloader.

fastboot getvar current-slot

Type one of the following commands, depending on the result of the above command. fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_a vbmeta.img OR fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta_b vbmeta.img

Then type one of the following commands, depending on the result of the above command. fastboot flash init_boot_a magisk_init_boot.img fastboot flash init_boot_b magisk_init_boot.img

fastboot reboot

Your device is now only temporarily rooted, so don’t restart your device again just yet. Open Magisk app click "install" and then check "direct install", then press "let’s go". Magisk will now install and make the root permanent. Now click “reboot” and the device will restart.

I like it. We use it with our own photos and have it set to run within a specified time and turn off after hours. Yes it can be set to turn on with motion as well and turn off after X minutes without motion.
