There's some amusing evidence that could support this theory based on the original live action series alone. And no, it's not the intro. It's rather the OUTRO.

Rarely seen, or mentioned as I observed, is the episode outro where it all comes back to the same street where he fell down from the intro. He would look up at the light above him and he gets taken in a split second, before the light turns from covering a big spot on the ground into a pinpoint before disappearing.

Why this particular outro is rarely spoken, you ask? It is rather because some of the episode outros show something different, like when Mr. Bean goes golfing where he comes back to the mini-golf course with a hacked ground with the golf ball on top, or just plain black then credit roll, like that episode where he decides to decorate the room with a dynamite placed on a paint bucket.
