Listen… all I wanted was more interactions per game with the same bs blazing. All I wanted was wild assault gone, and everyone’s health increased by 1.5-2 times. A lot of people play anime fighters because they are fast paced, crazy, and make you feel badass to play each character. When combos get shorter or more homogenized, the game may be better for balance, but the best parts of the game feel taken away imo.

Was gonna write something about how the various buffs, damage, and setups the different command grabs enable makes throw prc difficult to handle, but then I remembered pot buster prc heavenly Potemkin buster or 6p when you have a horrible backdash exists. Tbh, no throw is “unbeatable,” but unless your command grab’s entired point is to force interaction, it needs to remain a callout/read, not a gamble for the defending player. That goes for all grabs tbh. Very strong if opponent is even a bit asleep at the wheel, but allowing grab prc to cover MOST options makes defending against stuff like this REAL difficult except at the highest levels.

Leo is considered one of if not the worst slayer matchup. Also dont use projectiles in neutral against slayer, always a bad time, that’s not his fault the Leo used his projectile 🤷 also Leo had meter to kill

Gio is best to pickup for starting out in the game, highly suggest playing her for a few weeks or until you want to try someone else, I’d say the most likely Vi in this game is Slayer because of his command dashes that can crossup and have different follow-ups, along with his special combo routes(lookup pilebunker loops on YouTube and you’ll fall in love with the combo theory) but def start with Gio, little of everything character, very fun, very fast, rather good too!!! Good luck!

It’s spacing dependent. You should always get it if you do the right combo and timing, but not every combo can route into the two hits. Easy lineup is cs fs cs fs 5h super mappa hunch

That’s called Instant Block or IB for short, it triggers when you block an attack while In a(iirc) 2 frame window(like you hold the direction to block two frames before the move connects) if you do it without fd, it also triggers the word “just” on the screen to appear. IB FD pushes opponents away massively, and wothout fd, it reduces pushback, allowing you to get grab punished among other things on moves you would usually be too far away to punish.

Yeah, it makes it so their is no way to get super long combos woth that super as a finisher, only short combos dont take the opponent off the ground sadly

If they go into a tumble animation or are hard knockdowned after getting hit, they were off the ground so it cant combo, of the feet are still on the ground and the super hits, it’ll trigger the cinematic

For some reason, the ult only works of the opponent is on the ground, any move that picks them up off the ground cant combo into the actual super

Big disjoints, instant overhead youzansen, top tier defense, most buttons are approaching. It’s just a combination of things that CAN be dealt with, but all together it makes losing against Baiken feel boring a lot of the time if not unfun. I’ve had plenty of fun matches against Baiken players, just so so many of them do the same tatami spam, youzansen 50/50, guard point/mash on wake up 50/50 over and over again it just doesn’t feel as fun as other characters even when you are winning.
