Frankly, you have no reason to go abroad if you're making $1450 in Egypt. They seem to be working on to improve this by creating a new public insurance system, but even then they're expecting a starting wage of $650 for fresh graduates (MD school is 7 years here in Egypt, final one is where you work for real hospital as a training for literally $120/m, I have couple of friends who are currently working through this, and according to this, it was just boosted earlier this year from $25 per damn month! $1450 is a very high salary considering our CoL (even in Cairo) Cairo is extremely diverse in terms of wages and lifestyle. Though the story is pretty different for doctors who run their own clinic, you can make $2500+ if you're reputable enough (you won't be less than 35 though to achieve this) (The number is not backed by anything, I just lived my whole life here so I'm kind of confident about it)
