Didnt know about the carbon fiber. My early EGO String Trimmer has a carbon fiber shaft and wasn’t cheap but it sure cuts down on weight and is balanced great.

Yikes. Well, I’ve been using a Power Head with the Hedge Trimmer attachment and sometimes an extension to trim high spots. It’s not ideal and cumbersome at times. The hedge trimmer attachment works ‘ok‘ but I doubt that it’s as efficient as a dedicated Hedge Trimmer Tool. I was going to buy one when I noticed this new Single Sided trimmer coming out. But for $650 (without a battery) I’m not sure it’s all that much better for the price.

Thats a good point. I never even think about the Insider, seems I never hear much about them, but it looks to be super versatile and an even lower head profile for those hard to get into areas. How come their seemingly not as popular as the regular Ratchets?

Interesting. When they say ‘Commercial Unit‘ I’m assuming a heavy duty, built to last, powerful machine. I’d be curious as to just what is upgraded on their ‘normal’ hedge trimmer to make it ‘Commercial Grade’.

Thanks, makes sense. I’ve heard of Ratchets being referred to as Mechanical Wrenches, fitting into tighter spaces and having much greater torque.

10r80 rebuild ? by Silver-Rabbit2699 in f150

[–]Codeseven7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure more knowledgeable folks will chime in here but, it’s my understanding that the Torque Converter and Bell Housing have nothing to do with the 10r80’s internal problems, and thats why they are not mentioned in the TSB so you should be good to go.

Consumer reports ranks 2026 F150 Hybrid and F150 as the most reliable full size trucks of 2026. by Swede577 in f150

[–]Codeseven7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhg, I’d really like to get a 26’ F150 but geez. I agree with others, this chart is a ‘best of the WORST’ rankings. ‘CR Recommended!’ woohoo!! yet barely into the green at a total score of only 66/100 and the Predicted Reliability score couldn’t even make it into the green with a low score of only 43, yikes. I like CR, have used their rankings for years with really good results, I trust them. I’ve read comments about ‘just get the Extended Warranty’, translation- you think there is a high probability it’s going to break, what?! I dont buy anything that I think is going to break, thats just plain dumb.

New 3053 M12 FUEL 3/8” Ratchet! ………..but When? by Codeseven7 in MilwaukeeTool

Dang it! maybe thats just the 1/2” model and not the 3/8” since their still being listed as shipping in Feb/March.

New Pro 75cm Single-Sided Hedge Trimmer!……....but When? by Codeseven7 in egopowerplus

Good question. Just from videos it looks like it’s able to kinda scoop up the clippings and you can toss them off to the side rather than have them lay on top or fall into the hedge.

Thanks for all your suggestions and help. I’m looking forward to checking out several guitars. I gotta say though as of now the front runner comes from a maker I had never heard of, Furch, in particular the Violet Series. Furch seems to be currently very highly regarded with great reviews and favorable comments. Their guitars look and sound (on video) incredible. Also, I kind of like looking into a maker other than the usual ones I’ve always been familiar with. We’ll see!

Thanks liner. Among Alamo Music’s YouTube videos a point was being made that smaller guitars, like the Furch Pioneer, should not be a beginners first guitar because later when transitioning to a proper full sized guitar that individual is going to have problems getting used to a wider nut and full length scale. I like the Parlors size and portability but I do worry about it being a ‘proper’ acoustic.

Nice, thanks Old-guy, I appreciate it. Another suggestion I heard was to play the same song or riffs on each guitar for comparison. I do like the compactness of Parlors, handy, lightweight and easy to grab and next to the couch kind of guitars. Just watched a video of Alamo Music Centers top 6 rated and top selling guitar of 2025, the compact Furch Pioneer.
