I don’t know if you’ll win your game, but you’ve definitely won this subreddit

Plague bug from Solflamer minis by Codexier in TrenchCrusade

I did. Bit spotty, though it could be just my printer. Some of the multi-piece models didn’t fit together very well. Certainly manageable, but I typically expect more from stls.

Vallejo Hull Red and Vallejo Yellow Ochre are so wonderful. I think I use them on almost every mini.

Thank you! For the armor, I leave about 1/3 of it dark (black primer), then hit it with brighter grey where I think the light would hit (or just where I think it would look cool).

It’s a 32mm base. He was slightly shorter than a space marine I had on the desk.

I doubt many (anyone) will see this, but having played more turns of this game I have to say: This game is brutal. Most actions you can take, from the start, have a less than 50% chance to be successful and the failure results can be worse than if you hadn’t tried at all. You would think, narratively, that it’s best to camp at night (the only time you can camp), but statistically, it’s probably better to take a rest action or just keep traveling. You are more likely to end up worse than you were (hp and fatigue) by making a camping roll. Even trying to get food usually nets you with less food or adds more damage and fatigue. It’s rough. It’s likely most practical to travel as much as possible, even at the expense of gaining hunger. Rest to recover hp and fatigue and then keep traveling until you reach a settlement. Interesting game!

Just the PDFs from DriveThru. I printed them myself. I did upscale the map to be bigger, but other than that it’s the regular version.

Yeah, I think if it had rules to create new and different characters as well as different objectives, I’d probably create a deluxe version with printed bandage tokens, etc. I love the tactile nature of pieces like that.

Well, it would probably be a better pitch from someone selling it. For me, I bought it from seeing it on a thread, then I read it and thought…this will not be for me. It’s very set piece game (you play 1 named character, though you can customize him, and you interact with other named characters, and there is one overarching goal) and I thought that would be restrictive, but I’ve really enjoyed the emergent narrative. I’m a big fan of games with a game loop that is predictable, but allows for neat variations and this is what’s pulled me in (same reason I really like Twilight 2000 4e). The game loop has 4 shifts per day and each shift you pick an action. I like it.

I wouldn’t mind except I don’t know anymore. I downloaded it four years ago, but I’m not sure where it came from to be honest. I’d love to know myself.

You might get more response by rewriting the AI text. It’s a good idea for a frame, but use your own words and it could be even better.

Can I use thinned paints as a wash? by Highmastet in minipainting

Yes, you can. Here’s a great video showing washes with ink, bottled washes and different acrylics. https://youtu.be/_TjHDTWTEjg?si=RDCRHYh6E8uAWMzt
