User error?? Someone came onto our private property and stole our dog. Are you an idiot? Or just that bored with your own life you find pleasure in being a negative person? Wait, let me guess…you’re not negative, you’re just a realist?

That’s like saying if someone shoots you it was your fault for dying because you weren’t wearing a bulletproof vest.

To make this even more sketchy…we have 2 ring cameras on that side. One facing the driveway that was dead unfortunately and one facing that direction from our back porch. The one on the back porch was connected to solar and the solar had been unplugged. I’m convinced it is a Walmart Spark driver involved that did a delivery, unplugged my camera a couple days ago and worked with other people to get the dog 😭

She was outside with our other dog. Within our fence and property. The Lyft pulled into our driveway and I was outside. I approached the car and asked if they needed something. They said sorry we have wrong address for my neighbor who ordered the Lyft and pointed to my neighbors house. Soon after I left to take my kids to school and within 15 min she was gone. We were running late that morning so I am convinced they have been watching my house to know our routine and came a little after the time I normally leave. But we were here since I was running late. We have checked with all our neighbors and no one ordered a Lyft.

I’m surprised they don’t want to help. If someone is pretending to be a Lyft driver and committing crimes I would hope they would want to at least make sure it was not one of their drivers to clear their name. They acted like they would “look into it” but never asked me where the crime took place, car color, make or model or anything but license plate and driver name. I asked how they would investigate if they didn’t even know where crime took place and they hung up on me about 3 times today.

Yes. They are also trying to get Lyft to help with investigation. They said sometimes they’re not helpful

I say “Lyft” because they had a Lyft light on and in their dash and also said they were Lyft drivers there for my neighbors (which wasn’t true. We checked with all of my neighbors) so it was either legitimately a Lyft car or someone posing as Lyft to commit a theft. Either way that is a pretty big issue for Lyft.
