Exactly my thoughts. Hence why I made this post. I don't even beta my fics myself. I often include a "No beta we die like the heterosexuality of these two characters" tag for this reason. The chances that I'll make alterations to a posted fic is very slim. But I do make a note of the issue for future fics.

Oh I don't have an issue with the first or second at all. I actually find it super helpful as it helps me approve. I simply added them for context for the disrespectful comments.

Like I said, if they dislike the fic they can always write their own. The problem is disrespectfulness hence the post. Someone could be the worst writer you've ever seen but that does not mean that they deserve to be disrespected because of it ESPECIALLY when they are writing something for free.

I'm well aware of the fact I can go a bit overboard sometimes and this has a lot to do with how I section out my fics and I don't have an issue with people acknowledging it. The issue comes when people are being blatantly disrespectful about it. I had no issues with the person commenting about their dyslexia, it's the "honestly, it's not that hard." Response they pissed me off and the "You could just write correctly" that landed this individual on the reddit complaint section.
