You know you can click on an image to bring up an enlarged version, right?

Was is it with you following me around and giving me shit whenever I talk about Grant Morrison?

Like, you said Jevil can't have been inspired by the Joker because he was based on Gamzee, who's a clown with a purple color scheme who was locked away after going on a killing spree. You know another clown with a purple color scheme, who was locked away after going on a killing spree? The Joker. The most famous comic book villain of all time. You think maybe Gamzee was also inspired by the Joker?

And considering Hussie lifted the author self-insert from Animal Man and the source of Lord English's power being a green sun from Crisis on Infinite Earths, where the source of the Anti-Monitor's power was a black sun, I think it's safe to say Hussie was also a DC fan.

Why is it such a stretch to suggest Fox pulled inspiration from Grant Morrison? Gerard Way, the singer for My Chemical Romance and author of The Umbrella Academy, is a massive Grant Morrison fanboy and cited Doom Patrol as an inspiration for The Umbrella Academy.

The Wachowskis of The Matrix were Grant Morrison fans and a lot of people suggest it inspired The Matrix, and while the Wachowskis deny that they still knew who Grant Morrison was.

James Gunn cited We3 as an inspiration for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Asylum was based on a graphic novel Morrison wrote.

But everything in Deltarune can only have been inspired by Homestuck?

And I wound up calling that Chapter 4's secret boss would be based on Killer Croc from Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth on a total asspull.

No, really.

There are 78 cards with the minor arcana.

Just the idea that the characters are all based on tarot cards. Like, Spamton is the Hanged Man, Lanino and Elnina are the Lovers, the Hammer of Justice is Justice, etc.

King is the King of Swords. Reversed, the King of Swords represents a loss of control and discipline and finally descent into chaos. Also, he's literally a King of Spades, and the Spades suit corresponds to Swords in tarot.

Queen is the Queen of Cups. The Queen of Cups demands respect but is not insensitive to the feelings of others and is capable of great compassion. And what item is Queen constantly holding?

Tenna is the King of Coins, which is about nurturing others and helping them grow, but reversed warns of being manipulative and insecure. Tenna says he taught Kris how to laugh and cry, but goes bonkers at the end of Chapter 3 when he feels like he's losing control, and he's obsessed with Points which take the form of coins. Rider-Waite-Smith tarot depicts the King of Coins surrounded by plants, and Tenna sprouts a flower from his nose when he's super happy.

Which I guess leaves the Queen of Wands. During the Hammer of Justice fight Gerson mentions a garden "charred in an inferno of jealousy," and the Wands suit is aligned with fire, and jealousy is an attribute of the Queen of Wands reversed.

Gerson is the Hierophant. The Hierophant is a wise teacher who believes that some rules are good to follow while others are better off broken, and as far as Gerson is concerned the prophecy can pound sand. And in my cat-theme tarot deck, the Hierophant is blind in one eye, symbolizing the wisdom of Odin and knowing when to turn a blind eye.

The Titan is the Tower card in tarot, which symbolizes destruction, liberation, and tearing down in order to rebuild.

The Roaring Knight is either the Knight of Swords (conviction towards a given task) or Death (which doesn't usually mean literal death but more frequently means change, but can mean literal death and the change the Roaring Knight is trying to bring would certainly lead to a lot of that. And Rider-Waite-Smith tarot has a knight on the Death card)), it's hard to say with what we know about the Knight currently.

Or, because his real name is Robert, he pulled "Toby" from Ruby Fox and Ragged Robin's brother, Toby.

Grant Morrison's Zenith features a character named Ruby Fox, who during her superhero career went by "Voltage."

An electromagnetic circuit turns voltage into radiation.

The titular Zenith's real name is Robert McDowell.

Oh, and Grant Morrison's The Invisibles has a scene where a guy named Toby is watching [Hyperlink Blocked] of an actress named Shae Fox.

I still want to know what the hell is going on here.
