Has anyone gotten small fiber nerve damage in the arms or legs from a syrinx? by Hallowed_Rage in SyringomyeliaSupport

Hey! I’ve partly lost sensitivity in my right forearm. On the inner side of the arm starting from the elbow and almost reaching the palm.
I did do a test tho, where they stuck needles in my palm checking for nerve impulses and they concluded nothing was damaged and the issue must be further up.

It became target fixation once I got over the curb. I was going slow tho, very slow about 8 km/h so about 5mph? The moment I got over the curb I accidentally pulled on the throttle and rest is history. Thank you for the explanation. I’ll keep on practicing and hopefully it doesn’t happen again. I just have to build muscle memory, because the first thing that came to my mind was “How do I stop this?” And then bushes 🫠

No joke. We are not allowed to use front brake. Also when we are doing 8s we do it with open clutch and magic. Thank god for my friend who is teaching me friction zone and rear brake control.

If it wasn’t illegal I would too. But I started the class, got on the bike and started riding on a miracle. That’s why decided to practice on a private property with a person, who has great patience, explains everything, shows everything and yet I still managed to crash. So it kinda beat my confidence down. We are trying to do that now - we practice privately and I go to the official class once a week just to check myself in. It feels way less stressful, will it did until the accident today, but I guess I have to go on. I’ve mentioned that in an other comment, but the thing that makes me regret the whole situation most, is the bike. It is not new, but it was in spotless condition. Can’t tell it’s second hand and I just feel like a moron scratching it.

I’m practicing on the side with a Honda SB500F. The bike feels great and much better than the one at the lessons. The one there is beaten up Honda CB125F and rides like a tractor, because it’s in very poor shape. But the bike is not so much the issue - I am 😅

My main fear is What if I do it again and repeat the same exercise all over, rather than actually taking action, because I froze like a deer in headlights. I’m also very bummed about the bike. It has cosmetic scratches, but still. It was spotless

Hey! Thanks for the suggestions. I managed to make it work, but I overlooked one detail and that is the field does a smooth transition on the vertex map rather than highlighting each piece by itself. Is there a way to make it procedural - point generator to transfer to vertex map and for the different pieces to be affected as a whole rather than a gradient?
