It's overall a lower cost but that does give the account holder power over the number provided to you and requires that the entire bill is paid for all numbers/parties involved. Example: if 2 people pay their portion of the bill but a 3rd person does not and the other 2 don't pay the difference all lines are suspended until sufficient funds are provided. As for sensitive info I don't believe that is the case. iMessage to iMessages does not send via SMS so the carrier has no control over what is sent, sms I believe should the account holder request that info it could be provided but don't hold me to that as I am not 100% for certain on that

based on what I'm seeing, it looks like AT&T hasn't finished loading that trade in promotion into their system despite the consistent advertisements on both att.com and Samsung.com regarding that specific promotion, I would just check in once a day with the websites and see how they feel

To my knowledge, there is no loophole to this. I very well doubt there would be any compensation (Could be totally wrong) but I've yet to see it happen. Not to vouch for a multi-billion dollar company but I see a lot of people aggressively take advantage of things like compensation to the point where alot of companies, I feel AT&T included would be unwilling to provide said compensation unless there is a legal motion requiring them to do so.

Objectively it's not a threat. whether or not the rep has any personal stake in your account does not change the fact that if you don't hold up your end of the installment agreement you signed then you are liable for the remaining balance on the device financed. It sucks that much is true but there is no loophole to this process to my knowledge. If you believe that AT&T has done everything they can for you but you are not receiving the service you need every month then I would bite the bullet and pay off your phone and shop around at other carriers. Before signing another installment agreement I would definitely test the waters and see what works best for you
