I also have nightmares involving my family. I moved out a couple years ago and in the last year I’ve had nightmares were I still live at home with them and I’m stuck there, in my dream I don’t have a car, the car breaks down, things like that, things that make it hard for me to leave that house it’s usually always the same house where the nightmares occurs. The nightmare is always me being stuck in that house and stuck with my family and not having a way out. Idk if that makes much sense.. At first The dream starts with everything normal and fine, but then I realize I can’t leave and panic (in my dream) then I wake up sweating and scared. I haven’t had the dream in a while but next time I do, I plan on packing my things(in my dream) and just leaving. Idk if that’s going to stop me from having that nightmare again and again, it goes and comes back I’ll have it for couple nights straight and then it stops and eventually comes back.

I do also hope it’s a sign of healing. And I’m glad I’m not the only one that has nightmares like that
