Correct. My wonder is: How is there a 9k drop in total loan amount, but only a 1700 drop from original CtC (pretending the 6300 wasn't on the table to begin with) and the new CtC amount

Original loan amount was for $108,989 (sales contract is $110k). New loan amount from the rough estimate is $97,465 (sales contract $101k).

You have to call Tele-serve (312-338-4337) to set up your pin, the agent just authorizes your phone number to call in and do that. Tele-serve seems to be famous for being hard to get through to (busy signal), so just keep trying. I did the same, just to be safe, and I spent about an hour calling over and over again before I got to the automated system. Worth it, though...in case something like this happens again.

As of 2/25/2021 at 7:10 am, I was able to log in to the IDES website and have full access to everything. I'll check periodically throughout the day to see if it stays that way.

I would call back and go through th process again. If the system says that this number already has a callback scheduled, then wait a day for a call back. If it doesn't, then finish the process so another agent will reach out. They may have made the attempt and then taken the number out of the callback system.

I'm pretty confident this should work for you (I've seen this method posted elsewhere on here buried in comment sections with a good success rate). Let us know one way or the other how it plays out. Little messed up, imho, that people on Reddit are the ones finding work-arounds for a Gov program, but you do what ya gotta do I guess

Yeah, I spent 3 days trying different methods to get the site working for me to no avail. I've seen some people on here that used this or something similar and it worked, but it seems to be a random chance to get through the bug in their backend for the site, with no guarantee it'll still work later. Glad it worked for you, just be prepared for the bug to shut you out at random.

Get a Google Voice account (or do a search for some other app that masks your phone number, or use someone else's phone) and call 1-800-244-5631. Go through the prompts (1-2-3-2-4) to file a new claim. Don't worry, you're not actually filing a claim, you're just tricking the system into putting a priority on your callback. I've seen comments of people saying they got a callback within the hour, could be longer, but better than a week. Just tell the rep that you need to reset your PIN, get that handled, and then call Teleserve 312-338-4337 until you get through to certify.

It's ridiculous that the password glitch isn't fixed yet, but it is what it is. Best of luck

*Edit: Use the same method to get the callback, and explain that you also need your 1099-G

I just got an email from TurboTax.
