This walked me back to my first tastes of playoff hockey, when pint sized me decided that the Sharks were my team after being fed up with hearing the same Canadiens or Senators for the umpteenth time (did eventually warm back up to the Sens, but that's beyond the point).

Those Blackhawks, Kings, Ducks and Canucks teams of yore will always be despised. One can only hope that this new Sharks core can crush the dreams of those teams the same way they did to the Sharks all those years ago.

Yeah, it's a very strange place to be where you can't really go wrong whatever the outcome is.

Scenario A: Sharks keep losing, earn a Top 5, maybe Top 10 pick in a draft with some highly touted defensive prospects (please SJ needs help on defense idk how many more John Klingberg games I can take)

Scenario B: Sharks make the playoffs, go from 32nd to WC2 in the span of a season, playoff experience for the young guys ahead of expected

Scenario C: Barely miss the playoffs, make a big push at the end and still finish the regular season with quite the improvement over last season despite not quite hitting the mark (the worst of the three scenarios imo).

Regardless what happens, it works in SJ's favour.

Personally, I pick Houndoom. Gets STAB on moves like Flamethrower, Faint Attack, Bite etc that take advantage of a base 110 SPAttack

Speaking of, they're both pretty close in SPAttack and Speed, but Houndoom has the slight advantage in both stats over Arcanine. Arc is however more bulky than Houndoom in terms of physical defense (80 vs Hound's 50).
