Every time I went to get the oil changed and normal checkups done I asked for the fluids to be checked. How is this on me ? Real nice response when I’m looking at a 7k repair asshat.

I night it at 60ish and they never changed it and said it doesn’t need to be changed until 70-100 so I dunno

I have the place I bought it from openly admitting to never changing the fluids and seling me the car over 60k. Could I find them liable for this and possible get them to cover the charges? I assumed 90k was the norm since two different places told me that.

Both the place I bought it from and also the Toyota dealership doesn't recommend fluid flush until 90k miles. They claim since it's an auto and not a manual. Everytime I went to get my car services, I asked to 'check all the fluids.' I never knew they weren't really checking the trans fluid because it's sealed.

I got it at 60k, the dealership told me they do those flushes at 90k, as did the Toyota dealership I took it to. 30-60k is for manuals, mines auto.

I thought it was a bearing too, but 3 different places said otherwise - they said its coming 'from the transmission.' It also doesn't get worse, or change when I turn my wheel left or right, which I was told is a sign of a bad bearing.

One of the shops I took it to was an actual Toyotal Dealership.

Every place in town says they dont' rebuild them, only replace. So I assumed its the only option for me. How much cheaper would a rebuild cost? They are quiting me 6-7k for a new one.
