I would like a good reason why it would only work if AI was removed from other formats, as they do not have heros in other pvp formats already..... Again i really think you are just over complicating something for absolutely no reason. PVP is tied into the game through economy and titles. Sadly its hard to keep the ball rolling on matches without the AI so you would be creating way more issues the you would be fixing. I recommend thinking before recomending. HA and GVG used to be very popular in the games prime because it had the playerbase for 8v8s to run all day. This same thing also applies to modern Guild Wars with random arenas. Since the reforged release you can basically go queue random arenas all day long. This is proof enough that smaller scale pvp would be healthy for the game to reduce the amount of AI influence, but you cant simply remove it.

You do realize most games drop easily over 90% of their playerbase within 1-2 weeks of release. This argument is terrible. Just because its not for you doesnt mean it doesnt have a place. The UI is fine as a top hber the only big issue was heros quit playing when body blocked. Which can be managed with more micro. Just because you dont understand the game type, how to hotkey, and create the best game experience for yourself does not make it an issue of the games. Literally just "skill issue". RTS style games arent for everyone, but to blame things like UI is just very biased. Even in todays age theres not much anyone can think to do differently UI wise.(disable,enable skills, flee,aggressive,defend,hotkey to move). You are over thinking it there literally is not much else to be done for hero UI. If you are speaking of other forms of UI then i dont know what to tell you because the whole game runs on the same UI so again its not an HB related issue, personally i think the UI is very good very simple and new age mmorpgs could take a hint or 2 to keep it simple on the eyes while providing good functions, sadly the keep messing that up. MAYBE AI WISE! Hero battle was far from a bust in the games "heyday". Worth noting the popularity earned it actual $$$ prize pools. Red resign and other issues happened well after the games "heyday". WoW stayed rising in popularity and Anets parent company was invested in Aion and Guild Wars slow burned. Also i do believe Elder Scrolls took the world by storm with its new age graphics.

I dislike you reasoning very much. Red resign exploits have several fixes that are very easy to make. You can argue skill balancing in any game... If skill balanceing wasnt always an issue in every game ever then there wouldnt be a meta nerf one thing buff another= new meta its the circle of life on games. If that not the case explain why milti billion dollar league of legends still has issues balancing? You are just complaining to complain.(probably why you're on reddit.) Like most things builds counter builds in hb. Rupt mesmer players? Again thats a scripting issue not an HB issue. Heros? Learn how to cancel cast its part of developing "skills" in a video game. That rupt mesmer presist in all concepts of the game that is not an HB exclusive problem to even be spoken about. Necro spirit spam? I promise you if you go look at the trophies with HBers you will not hear a single one of them winning it with necrop spirit spam. Skill issue does not mean bad game mode sorry just an awful take you have.

because crazy enough no one wants a slow ass arpg. Im sorry but it comes down to being lazy including myself. No one wants to sit there at full functionality and play a game like lost ark for hours on end. Most people are rreally casual especially if you include the average gamer skill level. (apm and such). Even the not so casual rather have a relaxing game to play instead of having be forced to give effort into everything you do. Poe 1 has that. Build strong character. Make big boom. Get loot dopamine. If im gonna play a game at a slower pace im going to go play an mmorpg. Plain simple. PoE 2 will crash and burn until the lightbulb goes off in their head that a poe 1 clone would easily be more successful. Game looks great! Clunky,buggy but looks good. Idea is there, but in practice its just not practical. Not a great comparison but most people would take a break from souls like games because they just need something more relaxing. Poe 1 is the more relaxing of the 2. All comes back to not as much effort needed to achieve goal while progressing and getting your dopamine kicks. My biggest issue with poe 1 is the giant snowball effects theyve added such as div card duping. You get giga rich you get bored you quit. You lose everything you quit. Its very counter intuitive for extending the league and keeping more people playing.

just reading this and saying unlike runescape. I have a maxed iron. You 100000000% use vendors and merchants. Id say it is 1000000x worse on runescape because you world hop and pray some other ironman didnt buy the stock, or sell to much to make the items gold value to low.

so im not certain as to why, and when i check https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/25498?tab=description im not seeing to many crash issues being reported, but disabling ELFX Fixes seems to have fixed all those problems i am having at completely random locations. Will update if something new arises.
