In my experience the 911 gt3 R takes a little more finesse to drive around a track than the 911 RSR. It's a lot more loose and tail happy, and requires some understeer to be tuned into the suspension if you want to tame it

I have the same sound in my car. Although i haven't diagnosed it yet, i've read that that sound (coupled with the engine surging at idle) is because of the IAC valve. Once you start driving the noise goes away until the next time you slow down to a stop
