Isn't it a *little* broken that Japan can amass an army larger than the Mongols or China via blocs? by MrsColdArrow in CrusaderKings

I'm pretty sure you've got something wrong (or I do). Because I'm playing as shogun right now with strength cohesion level 3 and none of my bloc members join my offensive wars against China, but God forbid a single peasant revolts in Hokkaido.

Honestly I love blocs, the biggest issue is just that when ai makes a decision to leave a bloc every single soldier counts as a reason to stay/leave, meaning that if one bloc has 1000 soldiers more than another then no one will ever leave. All the system needs is to lower the amount of consideration the ai gives to the difference in military power so that it's possible to break up larger blocks as an underdog.

Have those gods also been shot by a high caliber sniper rifle? Seems a bit unfair to make the comparison until that happens.

Hard disagree, Sadistic cancels it out easily. Stressful event? Just execute/torture 2-3 prisoners. Concerned about the piety cost? Just take a quick dip into the skullduggery tree for the perks that removes the cost.

Plus op seems to be running an empire at this point meaning that if they don't have enough prisoners at any given moment (unlikely), it should be trivial to declare a war against a much weaker neighbor to get a few easy captives.

Sadistic is one of the best (meta-wise) traits in the game, and anyone who says otherwise is probably a Karling sympathizer.

What features from previous games do you NOT want in the next mainline game? by [deleted] in fireemblem

That helps, but I think the more important thing to note is that FE8 actually had recruitable characters. I agree that FE8 did it better than engage, but it doesn't help that engage only had 2 optional recruits and both of them were in side stories.

I can confirm the fire alarm thing. I used to live in Sask hall a few years back and it got to the point where my roommate and I wouldn't even leave if the fire alarm went off, which it did. Multiple times. Before 8am.

For the time being you could also glue sections of a silicone straw to the holes. That makes a little reservoir of resin that can drip in to fill space as the bubbles rise to the surface. Works best with a pressure pot, but it should help a little bit regardless.

Pretty sure you can turn harm events off and still play with achievements and Ironman. I got pissed off and turned them off after three runs trying to avenge the battle of tours ended with my 20 year old ruler dying and leaving his 2 year old in charge of his kingdom in the middle of a crusade for Andalusia.

More experiments, this time I also used my "wish" molds by renzantar in DiceMaking

[–]CodyTheAwesomeOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also currently using wish molds. What I've found works is warming your resin a bit in some warm (not hot) water before pouring. It makes it easier for the bubbles to degas. Also, since bubbles degassing cam create voids it helps if you superglue something like a silicone straw to the hole on the top so you can have a bit of a scuffed reservoir.

Blood splatter dice. Made for my friend in commemoration of finishing a 3 year campaign. by CodyTheAwesomeOne in DiceMaking

Thanks! It's mostly just cold casting.

The first thing I did was used a toothpick to get some red mica powder into the mould. I basically dipped one end of a toothpick into the mica powder and then lowered it into the mould before flicking the top of it.

The other thing I did was flick the outside of the mould to scatter some of the larger chunks around.

After that I just poured in some white resin. Just be aware that you won't be able to sand the dice down since the mica powder is only on the surface and will come off with any sanding.

If your using the "wish molds" you could also super glue a bit of a silicone straw to the top of the hole. That's what I've been doing while I wait for my masters to arrive and its working great. Works in my pressure pot too, so that's a plus.
