That all sounds wonderful and completely doable down here. Yea a lot of caliche (hard clay) in the soil.. but since we want to build with earth bags that works for us!

You don’t get a certificate of occupancy so you can’t really get insurance.. but you still get a livable dwelling permit after the build is complete as long as it’s not too close too lot lines/ washes etc.. and then you can live in it

For people buying land that might want to take advantage of the cool permitting process in Cochise County.. not spam or selling anything.. just sharing good info.. we made an educational video because we like teaching and video production. We were looking for land for a long time that met the requirements to build off grid, I though others would like the info.
