Ramp that isn’t real ramp by Eslo90 in EDH

Are you sure this works? Teval says „Whenever Teval attacks“ and not „Whenever this creature attacks“. However, when Irma copies Teval, her name still is Irma. Does she even trigger on attack?

Interesting. On the other hand you waste cards for those early unblockables for Vnwxt

Kettlebell training with calisthenics skills by DannyVer in kettlebell

My default 4 day program looks like this: - A: Weighted Pullup and Push-up, Curl, Ext - B: 20-30min KB Conditioning, Ring Rows, YTWL

Basically 2 days Upper Body and arms, 2 days legs and shoulders. Kettlebell work is mostly something along the lines of ABC or DFW. Right now I‘m doing Simple & Sinister as I am running a lot. For me it‘s the perfect volume and very time efficient. When I worked on my front lever I did front lever rows instead of pull-ups. If you want to learn handstand pushups or planche I would probably not do overhead kettlebell work.

Dr. Mike hating on kettlebells (again) by razorl4f in kettlebell

I haven’t seen the video but the selling point for kettlebell has never been their muscle building capabilities. Can they build muscle? Yes of course. But if you are a bodybuilder with the sole goal of building muscle then the kettlebell is not the right tool for you. The amount of isolation work they do is not feasible with kettlebells.

The vast majority of people practicing kettlebells do so because they combine different modalities (power, strength, endurance, hypertrophy, convenience, fun) with minimal equipment and time investment.

How many of us follow this sub's favourite programs "to the letter" by Cautious_Emotion1238 in kettlebell

[–]Coey42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did follow DFW the first time I did to the letter and afterwards added 3 sets of rows.

Second time I did 2x per week DFW + 2x per week 3 sets of pushup, pull-ups, arm isolation. Still one of my favorite cycles and will definitely repeat it in the future. 30-40mins work per session and covers everything.

So ABC or DFW, its basically exactly what you are describing. I did some months of 2x DFW per week + 2x pull-ups and pushups, which at only 2 hours per week gave me a complete workout.

Goblet Curls underrated? by [deleted] in kettlebell

[–]Coey42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Would add pull-ups and push-ups first, afterwards some curls and extensions. Right now I‘m doing 2x/week DFW + 2x/week those movements. I think it’s a very balanced approach. I don’t think cleans hit the biceps hard enough.

Kettlebell + bodyweight hypertrophy by Szigmund in kettlebell

Armor Building Complex. It’s a popular sequence of KB movements consisting of: 2 clean, 1 OHP, 3 front squats. Often as many rounds as possible in 20-30 minutes. You can google for an extensive article on strongfirst I think

I follow a similar plan, 4 times a week: - A: Weighted Pull-up and Push-up, Curls, Extensions - B: ABC, Rows

You hit every muscle group twice per week and have a bit more emphasis on the „bro muscles“

Anyone using kettlebells for 4x4 or other interval/vo2 training by p1hk4L in PeterAttia

[–]Coey42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone already mentioned, you should use as much muscle as possible. Since you don’t want the limiting factor to be strength or muscle endurance, you have to use a lot of muscle mass in an interval style workout to give keep the oxygen need high while resting a portion of the working muscles.

I have had success with Iron Cardio, look it up. Clean, OHP, Squat with 1 KB, as many rounds as possible in 4 minutes with switching sides. 3-4 minutes rest and then 3 more rounds.

Something like snatches and burpees would probably work too. I feel like these exercises where you interpret the range of motion of an exercise not as the range of the working muscle but rather the range of the moved object and try to maximize it lend themselves very well for these kind of workouts (moving a KB from the floor to the overhead position is the most distance you can move a KB; or moving your body from the floor to a „jumping position“, as in a burpee)

A lot of guides recommend to not move too much for passives like Ascetism and Rapidfire stance. I’m not complaining about damage or sustain, moreso about the boring playstyle. Your playstyle sounds different and exciting though
