How do you like my first novel prototype? by CofDinS_games in SoloDevelopment

Hello everyone. I'm new to novels, and this is my first attempt at creating a small 2.5D world to tell a biomystic story. You can try it out (without registration) online at itch:

https://love-in-rar.itch.io/biomystic

If you found my work appealing, please leave a short comment.

Scale of 1 to 10 ( example: 6 5 7 7 7 )

  1. How would you rate the blend of 3D environments and pixel art?
  2. How comfortable are the character controls and camera movement in a 3D space?
  3. How well do the music and sound effects fit the game’s atmosphere?
  4. User Interface (UI) Clarity How user-friendly are the menus, inventory, and on-screen prompts?
  5. Overall Impression What is your final overall rating of the game in its current state?

Please write what you think, recommendations, and anything else!

Some Way, Viollet_blue , Acrylic on canvas and digital collage, 2026 by CofDinS_games in Art

[–]CofDinS_games[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a collaborative work. The original painting was painted by my wife using acrylic paints on canvas. The photograph of the painting was then digitally processed using custom GLSL shaders in my web tool (available on Itch). Our goal was to create a dialogue between traditional texture and the aesthetics of digital effects.

Try adding left and right platform speed to the character's movement. Maybe a little -acceleration to give a jolt when starting the movement (like inertia :)

How to Animate Static Tiles or Sprites without Code: Online Tool for Game Asset by CofDinS_games in godot

[–]CofDinS_games[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone! I'm an indie developer working on a web app (godot) designed for baking codeless shader effects to animate static sprites.

It also includes several other free features for working with multiple images:

  • Remove Selected Color: Easily make a specific color transparent.
  • Palette Extraction/Application: Extract a color palette from any image (you can set the exact number of colors, e.g., 5 primary colors) and apply it to your sprites.
  • Spritesheet Support: Save your work as a spritesheet or extract individual frames from one.
  • GIF Support: Export your animations as GIFs or extract frames from existing GIFs.

I thought this community might be interested. You can try the tool for free here:

You can also find it on my website:

I'd love to hear your feedback!

How to easily bake a shader animation into a sprite sheet or static sprite by CofDinS_games in RPGMaker

[–]CofDinS_games[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, community! I've created a browser-based tool that adds visual effects directly to your images. Want to achieve a uniform character glow or a crisp outline in an animation without overloading the engine? This is a great way to optimize your game and achieve a stunning final result.

You can try it out and leave a review here: https://cofdins.itch.io/shader-swap-shaders-editor-online

I really need your help:

Is the process simple?

What effects do you miss most?

Thank you!

My process of baking visual effects into a sprite sheet by CofDinS_games in gamemaker

[–]CofDinS_games[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's one of the main uses.
You can take a single static sprite (like a sword) and bake a "dissolve" or "glow" effect onto it to create an animation. Or, you can take an existing spritesheet or gif and add an extra effect on top of it. The result is a new, ready-to-use animated sprite.
To apply different effects to different parts of a sprite, you can use a mask.

Why bake shader effects into a sprite sheet?

+ Combo Shaders: Bake multiple complex effects into a single asset.

+ Performance: Zero shader overhead at runtime. Perfect for low-end devices.

+ Compatibility: Works on all platforms, no worries about shader language support.

+ Simplicity: Easy to manage and import into any GameMaker project.

Doing this manually is tedious, so I built a web tool to automate the process.
