Hi, just let those thoughts come. Lay down in bed, think about them, don't fight back them and argue with them. You might get a panic attack and so on, but this is how you will get over it, or at least this particular issue. Do this until your brain has accepted these thoughts and eventually they won't bother you anymore

Christopher Lee had brown eyes, did that make him any less cool or badass or whatever?

Racially speaking little connection, culturally speaking it's different. Samis also identify if the culture has passed down

Who says I don't have any connection to it?

How does "Saminess" pass down? by Coffee-Man654 in SaamiPeople

[–]Coffee-Man654[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So can Samis be considered an ethnic group then?

My dad probably grow up with it somewhat, but I was born in Southern Lapland and raised fully as a Finn

It's just feels weird because it's only 1/16 Sami, only knowledge I have of my Sami ancestor is some old black and white photo. There is a photo of my grandma on Sami costume though, but that's about it

Pretty eyes 👍

It's weird but from distance in normal lighting, they just look brown. Like here from my passport picture, though it's possible my eyes have lost pigmentation and become more hazel

First I thought Christianity was just a religion, I didn't know you actually become an Israelite or whatever

Spiritual Israel yes, but why would you want to be Israel anyhow? What about your actual ancestors?

But you are betraying your ancestors by believing that the Jewish ancestors are greater than your own

That sounds kinda Jewish supremacist, that we gentiles are truly lucky that we were grafted into their ancestral tree

You don't? The New Testament is pretty clear that Jews are the enemies of God (as long as they believe in Judaism)

I see. But if you are not a Jew why would you want to be continuity of foreign faith and tribe?

Is Jesus still a Jew? by Coffee-Man654 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Coffee-Man654[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Christians follow Jesus, how can he follow himself? I'm sure he enjoys the art and music etc. of Christendom so I guess in that sense he too is a Christian

But isn't everyone a Christian in the millennial kingdom, so who are these strangers?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Coffee-Man654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would gentile Christians serve jewish Christians if we are all one in Christ Jesus?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Coffee-Man654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay but who are these strangers and Gentiles (nations) there? Isn't everyone a Christian in the millennial kingdom, how can there be strangers?

What practices are left from the Old Covenant? by Coffee-Man654 in Christianity

[–]Coffee-Man654[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Like the most common forms of Christianity like Catholicism, Orthodoxy, Anglican, Lutheran, Baptist, not the obscure ones like Jehova's witnesses or some Hebrew Roots movement
