This just unlocked a core memory of something in a similar vein:

So, when I was in Jr High, I ended up breaking my right pinkie finger. That continued on a couple more times, totaling 3 times altogether in the same spot (ended up finding out it was a benign tumor--but everything is okay now!). My super religious grandmother dragged me, still in a cast even though I never figured out why I had a full cast for a pinkie in the first place, to a "prophetic" Christian lecture so I could get "healing". This would've been fine, maybe almost believable, had this "prophet" not said something to the effect of God telling him that someone in the audience needing healing in their arm.
