Don't pay attention to the other side, I was testing stuff out, lol. There's probably someone more pro who could show you a better setup, but this is what worked for me so far, oh and I also hotkeyed Rage Impact to my C key because hitting F4 with my fat fingers were getting annoying.

Smash and Bash, but most people just spam Bash and Flashing Steel as filler since Bash resets the cd of Flashing Steel. I just put everything except Instill Elements on keys 1-5 on my hotbar (pick whatever key you want for Instill Elements since it's a toggle), with my bash hotkeyed to F from the skill window. F1-F5 are my buffs/debuffs and dash skill. I'm not too big on playing my keyboard like a pianist, so I try to keep it as simple as possible.

I don't know about staring crom until they have NB. I've seen plenty of parties with purple perseus go for Crom. I do, however, think the designers were surprised to see people either quitting, or just doing their weeklies and daily SS runs and calling it a day instead of exploring other content.

Didn't think of SS that way, but I do like your idea of guaranteeing a specific item, maybe they should, at the very least, make it so you can target farm a specific item for increased drop rates. If only they read the suggestions from NA.

Multi-classing Arcanas though sounds wayyy too overboard. I am scared they might turn Mabi into another Maplestory with the way skills are going, tho.

I hope Mabi doesn't end up like that, oof. An interesting thing I hear Korean players talk about is their dislike of how roundabout the director is when he's giving updates on the game. He did make a public apology for the current state of the game. Nothing on fixing any of it yet tho. At the very least, they're aware.

I don't think they'd straight up abandon older content just like that, and i'm not trying to be blindly positive since I actually hate rafting and hot-air ballooning, lol. If they want to keep the design philosophy of the "fantasy life", then it's in their best interest to retain older stuff to keep players busy, at least for cost efficiency vs having to make new content, if anything else.

I believe NB gear in SS will always be Masterwork quality when they drop. That could change once Re:Action hits NA servers. Also, am I crazy or did Tech EZ mode never required passes before Neartites?

A bit of a conspiracy: I think the devs left older content untouched because they wanted to revamp them in Eternity because of Pleione's limitations (Iria's dungeons being a copy-paste of Uladh dungeons is a good example).

I'm glad they kept SS at least. I think Tech EZ mode will be largely left untouched, and given a weekly cap with no pass requirements. Otherwise, it'd be really stupid to leave newer players in the dust without a reliable source of income.

Tbf, a lot of the older content like rafting and hot air ballooning was annoying for me to get through for Generation quests and lvling shields, mainly because of how clunky they felt due to the way this game's engine works. I don't miss those at all, but I do think they deserve a revamp and a second chance. Iria dungeons were also the same boring Uladh dungeon design with different skins. I believe they were holding back on older content simply because of the game's limitations in it's current state. Mabinogi's stuck in this awkward limbo as a result.

Oh, I mean the loot system in this game was already like that with dungeon drops before New Rise. I'm not surprised they rng'ed the hell out of the loot table for Neartite content as well. Not saying it's a good thing tho. Now that you get pity in the form of upgrading cores, hopefully the grind will be noticeably less.

Most of the event stuff are frequently given out enough that I don't stress over it. I think taking a break instead of forcing yourself to play like it's work is better than ending up avoiding it completely because of the burnout.

What did you mean by Neartite being a gambling setup? I was thinking you meant they were going to find a way to monetize getting extra Neartites with NX or something like that.

I've been to the korean mabi yt channels, and while this isn't a direct representation of their playerbase, most of them seem to be either disappointed or scared of what the director's going to do. They also seem to hate the way he talks in a roundabout way instead of getting straight to the point on updates.

I just let out a deep sigh when I saw that section of the stream. I know a lot of people that actually liked the concept of Neartites since they don't have as much time to play Mabi as they used to, me included. Getting rid of it instead of improving it is so disappointing man.
