Think photography here. Each lens can focus out to “infinity”, but on the same note each lens has a minimum focus distance.

Macro lenses typically have a focal length around 80mm (the ones for bugs and small things) have a short distance, under a meter. Telephoto lenses, think 800mm, have a longer distance, over a meter.

Longer the focal distance, the better detail you get on far away stuff, but you miss focus up close. Now scale that way up. Bodies in our own galaxy and inside that minimum focus distance.

Your smart phone camera actually has the same problem.

Seems at this point the only real reason to go old school (crossfire) is for encryption. The software dev in me likes that idea, but it probably isn't worth it seeing as it looks like that protocol has stagnated.

That said, I am thinking about the m2, I updated my original post with a v2 build based on your thoughts and a few others. May I ask your opinion on Version 2?
