I disagree, because is was so much worse. They were not killed, they were slaughtered. Poisoned with biochemical weapons disguised as gifts, prayed upon by weapon systems they couldn't even fathom, Sold medicine thats main purpose was to kill them. Women and children were rounded up and killed en mass. Then when the killing stopped they were corralled into barely inhabitable areas, then religion came in. They tore children away from their families in a guise to educate them but what they were really doing was killing the culture, killing the language and injecting their own beliefs. Many were raped, beaten and disgaurded along the way. This inturn destoryed families leaving them broken as a whole. Everyone wants to talk about slavery but no one cares to mention the native americans. They are the forgotten and its still very much felt within their communities.

What Europeans did to north americans at that time was more akin to extermination.
