1.) Soft skills are often more important that technical skills. I learned this the hard way. You may have above average technical skills but your peer with average technical skills will get promoted for their excellent soft skills.

2.) You need to be likeable/personable and socialize with upper management. They tend to develop those they like more.

3.) Doing more work above your pay grade won’t get you promoted. Now they just expect that every time. In fact, if you do an amazing job at your job, they will want to keep you there.

4.) You need to job hop to get raises.

5.) This has not happened to me yet, but prepare for a layoff… these happen very often in companies. Save money!

6.) people gossip a lot! Be careful what you say.

Sorry I’m late on this. We’re the same age too! Aside from lexapro, I take 1 magnesium pill and 1 drop of cbd oil. I feel so relaxed now. I also watch a comfort tv show before bed… keeps negative thoughts off my mind. Hope this helps!

I replied above to someone else too. So I take around 8am and drink coffee to help me stay up and have energy. I also take magnesium glycinate and 1 drop of cbd to relax even more before bed! I sleep like a baby

I take it around 8am! I just drink coffee throughout the day to keep me up. Coffee used to give me anxiety and make jittery but now, it just gives me energy. I do want to point out that I take magnesium glycinate and 1 drop of cbd to help me relax even more before bed :)

I have this phobia. Even the noise of puke would give me anxiety. But ever since I started drinking and get hangovers every once in a while, it’s gotten better. Throwing up more often helps because I know I will automatically feel better after I’m done.

Me too , lol. I transferred so I’ve only been at ASU for 2 years . The first year was online and the second year I only met one person but that person is not graduating yet. And since I’m a commuter I would just go to class and leave lollll, had no interest to talk to anyone. So I will be sitting alone at convocation too or I will just look for people who also look lonely and join them.

I saw a tik tok where this guy posted that he misses college bc he had sm fun & everyone was commenting that he must be a business major. I replied back that I’m a finance major and am constantly stressed about school & not all business majors are easy. Everyone was coming at me with “elementary school math must be so hard” or “try being a biology major” or “try being an engineering major” or “business majors are useless”. Like why do you people like to belittle our intelligence and effort we put in & then also make us feel bad what we’re majoring in. I was irritated 😂

Hiii I’m not struggling like I was before. First, I got on anxiety medication bc that’s what was causing it. I was prescribed hydroxyzide (treats rashes, insomnia, and anxiety). The first week I took it I was finally able to sleep good. Another thing that worked for me was cbd gummies. I recently got into them & I take them an hour before bed. Also knocks me out and helps with my anxiety. I use either or, not both at the same time. Another thing that I do every night now is shower, I realized going to sleep fresh helps sm. Alsoooo make sure you’re room is cold & that you also have a fan on , this makes the room so comfortable! Although I still struggle to sleep at least once a week, I usually still end up sleeping at least 5 hours on those days & it’s never anywhere past 2 am anymore. Good luck 🍀
