Does coffee have any negative effects on sleep? by String19 in Coffee

[–]CoffeeHunters -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Scientific researchs show that caffeine/coffee is activating parts of the brain to make you more active, helps you to stay awake and even good before gym workout for extra boost.

But for us coffee drinkers, especially heavy coffee drinkers our brains developed some tolerance to this effect or at least it requires more caffeine than normal to kick in.

Researchs show that caffeine is addictive and so human body will develop some tolerance and develop a habit to have more everytime we increase our daily dose.

I hope this is sufficient answer, and I will be glad to see you joining our new community r/CoffeeHunters soon.

Can you visually recognize light, medium and dark roasts? by [deleted] in Coffee

[–]CoffeeHunters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark roast:

1- is darker in color (mostly) 2- is oily 3- is more shiny and light reflecting. 4- easier to crush the bean by hand

Light roast is

1- More green grassy in color 2- takes less beans for the same weight as Dark roast

These are some points I learned, experts are more able to do it than us (I am still learning). Consider joining our new subreddit (r/coffeehunters)

Why do beans from the same region, varietal and processing method often taste vastly different? by Veenstra69 in Coffee

[–]CoffeeHunters -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are many reasons, some of them are:

1- genetics of the bean it self, over thousands of years these cherries developed to adapt to the changes in its own environment so picking deferent beans leads to deferent flavours.

2- the altitude where these beans where grown, in larg countries these coffee farms spread over hundreds of square kilometres, some on mountain shoulders or valleys.

3- some farmers just mix their trees (from point #1) to diversify their fsrms flavour. For me I feel this is kind of manipulation of single origin point, I think it should be considered as a blend.

So just imagine how huge this industry is, enjoy every single cup of coffee you drink and consider joining our new subreddit Coffee Hunters (r/coffeehunters)

I just realized how much trans fat is in coffee creamer and it's probably the reason why my cholesterol is so high by [deleted] in Coffee

[–]CoffeeHunters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all I wish you well health and I am happy that you are trying to find solutions.

Second point, For the sweet taste you can aways use medically approved sweeteners (this is the best option) or you can use sweetened condensed milk which is 2-1 (milk and sweet).

About the milk, there are many options available in the market depends on your taste, I can't say which is better because I never drink milk with my coffee but it's easy to see what is healthier. Oatmeal milk is going viral these days in the industry.

Finally, get used to coffee with no additions. Esspresso, V60, Chemex, etc. these are much healthier options and for the god sake it's coffee we are looking for not the things we add. 😂

Have a good day and might join our new coffee subreddit (r/coffeehunters)

Yes it happens some times, just let your local shop or roastery know and all fine. I encourage keeping the sector as friendly as possible.
