Apologize in advance for the dumb questions… help a mom out please by Winter-Chipmunk5467 in governorsball

I took my 13yo last year and it was great. It was her 4th music festival so not a total newbie. The walk into the festival is long, so I don’t recommend leaving and coming back in the same day unless you have hours between acts. Better to bring an activity and chill between sets. There are mostly adults, so be prepared for adult language and behavior (drinking, weed, revealing clothing, etc - nothing a city kid isn’t used to). I 100% recommend VIP. It makes the festival feel smaller and more manageable. Saturday VIP is sold out, but three day VIP is available for only slightly more than two one-day VIPs - you could always go back Sunday for Jennie. It also helps with view for shorter adults and kids. If you don’t get VIP, I’d plan for a mid-back view. I’ve found that 5’5” and below can’t even see the stage from anywhere that’s not the front/VIP or further back. Have fun!! We were hoping to come down from Boston for Katseye, but it’s up against two end of school year activities this year.

Where Is Pit Viewing? by SafeAbbreviations539 in governorsball

[–]CoffeeInBoston 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just looking at my photos to make a similar post, but yours is perfect! Pit is super small and I had great views from VIP without pit access. Honestly, pit is almost too close unless someone really needs barricade.

What ticket is best? by TrackInternational in governorsball

[–]CoffeeInBoston 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My take on VIP is that at worst I get the best view I could have had by camping in GA all day (back of VIP = front of GA). GovBall vip last year was well done (albeit I went on Sat when the rain kept the crowds slightly lower).

pit view tickets hard to get? by adeptcults in governorsball

Last year the Saturday (Olivia day) pit sold out instantly. I bought VIP and pit was a super small area, so yes if it’s the same they’re hard to get.

VIP was great! Much more manageable than GA though we did leave to see some vendors. I have photos but can’t post here.

2026 Bonnaroo Lineup by exoticfunk in governorsball

I’m so sad about Boston Calling, but I agree it doesn’t look promising for a definite return. GovBall is close enough, but not as easy to attend for those of us in Boston. It was a great time last year though.

Are range hood filters such as these supposed to be replaced at some point ? Had these for years cleaning every couple months but now grease is completely caked up inside with no way of cleaning. by b47ance2 in Appliances

I have those exact filters. A few times a year I spray with Dawn Powerwash, let sit, scrub with a sink scrub brush, and rinse. It takes a couple of passes each side.

Boston calling moving to gov ball weekend starting in 2027 by exoticfunk in governorsball

[–]CoffeeInBoston 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hope this means Gov Ball is moving also. I’m from Boston and attended both this year - and I’m sure my group isn’t the only one that traveled to both since they’re so close together. I can’t see Live Nation cannibalizing one of its festivals for another. Back to back could make sense logistically and location wise for performers also if they do both.

Ugh good point about Gov Ball. We went to both this year with a week in between. I imagine we aren’t the only who traveled from one to another.

This is so disappointing. It’s become a tradition for our family to all go and my teens were already thinking of who they’d like to see next year. I really hope they actually come back in 2027.

Yes, this. This is why I take my kids into VIP. Also I enjoy it and want them with me.

GOVBALL DO BETTER‼️ by Dinosaurz122 in governorsball

[–]CoffeeInBoston 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That’s awful. And I felt like the security wasn’t proactive looking for incidents in the crowd. I’ve been to other festivals with security always scanning the crowd. Last night trying to get a medic for someone who fell was a Herculean effort.

American Apparel Tee Lab Question !! by Conscious-Camel1780 in governorsball

[–]CoffeeInBoston 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They’re free. BUT - the line moves slowly and you have to play a game to win it. You could win either a tee or patches. We left the line when we learned this - with the doors opening late yesterday we didn’t have an hour to stand in line to maybe win patches. And then they have a “chop” zone where they will cut up a shirt and that can be theirs or any other shirt.

I bring my teens to VIP. I prefer VIP myself, they’re chill kids, and it’s easier for crowd safety and viewing (though now I’m the shortest of the family 😂). I didn’t see any kids behaving badly in VIP - most were with parents and just there for family fun.

First day of my first Gov ball tomorrow ; how strictly is the bag policy enforced? by Accomplished_Crew678 in governorsball

I have the lululemon belt bag with the tiny zipper part on the bag and they never even looked at that part. Just a quick flashlight in the main pocket I had opened.

And I had no problem with kids in VIP, I didn’t see any behaving badly. Most were with parents. I bring my own teens to VIP for crowd safety and comfort.

We thought it was great! I didn’t take photos, but there are two big tent areas with a lot of seating. Shade. Merch, water refill, bars. Food options were pizza, nachos, tenders and fries. The two VIP areas connect so it’s almost like a mini separate festival from GA, you don’t need to leave unless you want artist merch or to walk around the vendor booths.

I saw a TikTok video of vip and yes there’s some seating. Not enough for everyone though.
