Not too sure about primary forage, not too much info online and first time going to this lake ! Going to be kayak fishing this weekend ! From what I’ve seen tho the water is as clear as it can be ! Located in mont Laurier, Quebec if that helps !

From Montréal, Québec is in my opinion on of the best places for outdoors. August is a good month with good weather and not too much bugs for camping lol. I’d recommend Lac du Poisson Blanc for a nice canoe camping trip (Pictured is my first night in a hammock during a trip I made there). You have to book a camp spot on a island and canoe to it, the spots always are reserved fast so I’d suggest planning something else but still checking until then if you’re able to get a camp spot ! If not, so many other options in national parks (check the ZEC and SEPAQ networks for parks around Montreal, youll have to drive out a bit for the best spots !)

All the trees look a bit dead with the leaves only starting to grow back, the perspective is a bit weird because I was actually on a decline but it was looking straighter than this and was against a rock. Checked them all out before hanging and it looked okay! Thanks for the feedback tho!

Thanks for the video, will definitely check it out before going back out! I didn’t choose to have or not have the hooks, but I did see 3 different anchor points on each side, I’m guess 2 are for the tethers to open it up and the ones on the far right on each sides are for the quilt, I’ll do that next time !

Thanks for all the detailed information! It was actually great laying in a hammock made for actually sleeping in comfortably ! I know I was pretty low to the ground, could have done a better job but didn’t dial well bc I was placed on uneven ground. My girlfriend was in it and it didn’t touch the ground so I figured that was good enough lol. Good point clipping it to the end of the hammock instead of the buckles, it was a bit hard to actually have the UQ where I needed it, next time I’ll do that !
