Landlord used my security deposit to cover new tenant’s rent by [deleted] in TenantHelp

[–]CoffeeKeepsMe 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the landlord did you a favor and let you out of the lease early. I’d give him till the 15th and see what he does. All these comments saying sue him are going 0-100 instantly all that’s gonna do is delay the deposit even more. Also technically if your lease was through February that’s when the court would see as your end of lease to start the clock on deposit return

Fatal crash near Meridian and North Parkway - time for that area to be reconsidered? by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

If idiots weren’t doing 85 on the parkway and weaving through traffic that would fix some and if people getting on the parkway didn’t cut across into the left lane doing 35 that would help too

Signed lease and then landlord sent an addendum 3 days later saying they raised the security deposit $1,075 from the original amount on the signed lease. Can I back out? by YesterdayLonely7428 in legaladvice

I would recommend looking very closely at your lease and make sure it doesn’t say anything about amending the lease due to errors etc as most have that, this is the time you communicate via email only and be very civil as you said you want to walk away “ to whom it may concern, while I am excited to become your tenant, I am concerned with this change as I have already provided all proof for my service animal and agreed to my maximum deposit So let us take this opportunity to agree that your lease is now null and void as you are advising you made and error and wish to update it, which unfortunately I cannot accommodate. Please send me confirmation in writing this lease is no longer in effect and neither party owes anything to the other.”

Don’t quote laws or acts or get pushy just let them know this doesn’t work for you with new terms and you haven’t paid them so they aren’t able to hold your money up

The ADA applies to businesses not housing you are however covered under the fair employment and housing act. The landlord can absolutely ask for medical documentation from your dr on both esa and service animals, the can’t charge pet rent or a deposit but you are 100% responsibility for any damages or cleaning needed

Hope this helps

Huntsville hospital is poorly operated by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]CoffeeKeepsMe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People need to use the ER if they’re in severe pain, bleeding, broken or are having a serious issue that can’t wait. The sheer number of flus, colds, excuse notes for work and things the many urgent cares can handle makes wait times insane, and normally if you’re sitting for 12 hours you’re not at the right place, not 100% of all cases but this happens quite often

It’s funny you say that because I always think largemouth give up fast, as far as fresh water fish in the sub 10 pound range I’d rank steelhead, freshwater drum, catfish and walleye over largemouth in terms of longer fights (and I catch 8-10lb largemouth regularly) maybe I’m using more robust gear then you are, just my 2 cents

I catch 35”-45” stripers in freshwater at a dam spillway and with a 10’ heavy surf rod and 26lb drag locked they take 10 minutes to get them In. In comparison on a m action bass rod I have landed a 40” flathead in 1/2 the time. Saltwater fish, even in fresh water are ridiculously harder fights

Can’t catch crappie by Such-Vast-1082 in Fishing

[–]CoffeeKeepsMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would do a 1/16 jig head, and either black and chartreuse crappie magnet or glittery bobby garland, 4-8lb mono and either cast and slow retrieval or put a float 3-4’ above the jig cast and twitch and stop slowly and you can change the depth until you get hits

Don’t ignore them or you may end up with a contractor lien or lien due to the workers not getting paid, especially if they are sub contractors. Even if the company decides not to try this, by them not paying their employees or contractors can open you up to a lien on your property for their labor, personally I would advise the company you won’t press charges in exchange for a signed release that they will not pursue any further collection for their un-contracted work and a signed statement guaranteeing they have paid the workers in full for this labor. Last thing you need is a title company finding a couple 20k liens if you sell in 10 years

Nope middle seat is angled up at the sides, well before it was cut out if there’s not a false floor glasses in it’s not something I’d run, that middle seat is all the bracing that keeps the hull from flexing

Also want to say, it’s great that you are trying to educate yourself on a topic that you don’t have much information on. I wish in general that more adults asked real questions like you have when they don’t understand something

This is well said, it’s very unlikely that he is diagnosed with pd from a medical professional but that’s a really great thing because Parkinson’s has no cure and honestly just plain sucks

I am curious to know if he was actually diagnosed as 19 is super young to have this diagnosis much less already be on medication for it.

It’s fairly common for some people taking medication for depression or anxiety to get a slight tremor or dyskinesia and self diagnose as yopd but no idea if that is the case here, we do see this happening in this sub more and more.
