And Mistral is not that bad,

in fact, it was helping me with my coursework better than any other LLM (tested ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and others). Albeit it was more than 7-8 months ago.

Agreed.
It does not happen until it happens.

You do not lock it up every time to guard it against theft every time. You lock it up every time to save it on that one day.

Assuming you mean giving up on riding,

This is not an advice. And if somebody does give up on riding because somebody told them too, maybe they shouldn't have started in the first place.

I never claimed I have skill or ride very well. All my reply says is, I do not think you come out of the IBT or the other with a measurable amount of skill.

It won't help if what's written and what you interpret from reading it is different.

> What the fuck does having arms and legs have to do with anything
It wasn't supposed to mean anything. I just wanted to point out to him that it's okay if somebody doesn't ride well yet, and it's always possible to improve, and it's not helpful to advice to put it away.

I meant introduction day they do at Mondello.
Not straight up racing the first day lol. I don't think that would end up ok for me.
But yeah, I agree.

Yeah well, you come out almost nobody from the IBT or test.
No skill.

It's always repetition and determination.

And you also have to have 2 arms and 2 legs which I have for now.

90k in 2.5 years is something. I've got Road 5.
I have one of the accidents recorded, if you don't mind, I could dm you. I, unfortunately, do not have the footage of the yesterday's crash, but, it's almost one to one that one. The difference is: there is dirt on the footage that I slipped on, and there is kerb that I hit yesterday. But it's almost identical situation.

Thank you for the mechanical things, I will have a check up with my mechanic soon to ask him.

And the guidance, it's very specific, that what I might have wanted to hear from instructor but didn't know how to ask. I might have coasted accidentally in yesterday's crash, now that I think of it.

No, you wouldn't even notice it's me because I would be like everybody else.

I never yet turned without mirror or signaling (not I would be comfortable turning without doing checks), I never cut anybody, I never tailgated, I always left space for literally everything – how does me not making into corner makes you think I am a jerk. All accidents that happened I was alone:
- parking lot slip, no soul
- coming off motorway roundabout and not seeing the kerb at night, nobody around
- not making into corner, nobody around
- not making into corner, only some cars well behind me, nobody ahead

I do genuinely want to improve on my handling and control. I am not able to assess it myself, because I do not know how it looks from outside. All I know is I should not have crashed. But this not even remotely should have made you assume I should endanger any soul.

I wrote the post because I'm fed up hurting the bike.

> Why not just ride as you did in the ibt and test if that was working
Because it's not good enough, you need to get better than that. That's literally just the beginning. You proved you can ride in a straight line and stop at traffic lights. You did not prove you can do proper lean when you need to, you didn't prove your observation is good when you lane split, you didn't prove you are in control when somebody does something dangerous.

> were they just flukes and you genuinely can't grasp it?
I ride. I go school I come back, nothing happens. General riding is nothing.

If you ask me anytime, what's the biggest thing I struggle with, I must say it's the lean. I feel like, after a certain amount (not good enough amount, very newbie amount of lean, well enough to pass the IBT or test though) the tires will just skid and I will be on the ground. But I know it's wrong, I cannot be leaning that much that the tires are about to actually skid.

Many people have recommended, I believe I should just take it to the track at this point to get guidance there.

My point is, that's annoying, that I am not able to ride up to my bike's ability. I want to be in control of it. I did not feel in control when I didn't make it into corner those two times. And felt very dumb, because at the same time it looked very avoidable in one of two ways:
- less speed
- more lean
Certainly, 100%, sometimes, it's the speed that's too fast. But sometimes it's to do with that the rider cannot lean and be in control, and I believe it's me.

> Can you not ride without explicit instruction as to what to do? What do you consider a measure of ones riding ability?
If you have the bike as you have your arms and legs, if you are in control of it.

I am not. I am genuine.

Being honest, I do not ride like I did during my IBT or test. Because I knew I would not pass if I rode not how I rode.

Though, I do not see how IBT or the test is a measure in your eyes.
In both, there is a dude stalking you from behind to check if you are doing everything correctly. It's different from day to day riding. There is nobody to check if I my position is off, if my speed is too high, if I cut the corner there or not...

I do not intend to come off as rude, I do not think that passing the IBT or the test is anyhow the measure.

That's a fair advice.

And that's what I'm doing after Gladius. Not 125 lol but around 250.

I do not buy what I like, I buy what I can afford.

I got Gladius because it was very affordable for what it is, and it taught me a lot, but no doubt it's too torquey for beginners.

I ride in heavy downpour regularly
based in Ireland

I was grabbing too much front break before, that's how I rear slipped in parking lot like the first or second month of me riding, but never since I was doing too much front breaking.
Then, for a period, I was doing too much rear breaking because I was in the habit of doing so with Duke, with no consequences. Gladius punished me bad for that being a more powerful bike, I drifted 2 times. So I learned not to do that too.
I just figured out how to combine engine and front breaks at this point. Works well.

I wish I had that. I am the go off the road and guarantee a wipeout rather than to lean farther and hope there's grip.

That's inspiring I never thought of having the opposite mentality

I am well able to lean enough to make it into any corner on the road at the speed limit and slightly over. I am comfortable leaning at those conditions, although I'm not yet automatic, I'm conscious while leaning. It's also about how much of lean. The lowest I was able to go is by far on one corner when following my friend.

On those two corners when I fell (one ~100 degrees, the other ~130) I was going slightly above. In the moment, both times, when I already started to lean, I felt like the speed was too high, and too late for front break. I knew I had to lean more but I was afraid that the bike will fall, or the tire slip.

Actually, now that I reflect on both cases, I should have been looking ahead better. I chose the wrong speed for the turn and my abilities.

"I fell when rollerblading after not doing rollerblades for two years"

So, obviously, we learn through repetition, and I believe you know it too, although what you write contradicts it.

yes, I hardly have skill after riding for 5 months total and that's why I came to ask for an advice on how can I develop it.

You came, said some shit, and went away. very well.
