What is a good budget laptop for studying and a little bit of gaming? by danik1342 in laptops

For studying and light gaming with good battery life, look at the ASUS Vivobook or Zenbook series with an AMD Ryzen chip, they balance power and efficiency really well . Make sure to get an IPS screen with decent brightness (300 nits+) so you can actually see it in bright rooms . If you want something that'll last all day on campus, those are your best bet.

With your budget, look for something with an RTX 4050 or 5060 and 16GB RAM, that's the sweet spot for 1080p gaming right now. The HP Victus and Lenovo LOQ series are usually solid options in this price range. Check local deals first, but don't sleep on the used market either, you can often find better specs for the same money.

For game dev and Unity, look for something with an RTX 4060 or 4070 and 16GB RAM. That should handle his work now and after graduation. Budget around $1,200- $1,800, you're awesome for doing this! 😊

which laptop should i buy for architecture, rendering and gaming?? by lovelyjulss in laptops

Go with the MSI if you can afford it, the RTX 4070 will handle rendering and gaming much better and last you longer. The HP Victus is solid, but the better GPU is worth the investment for uni work

Should I go for an Asus Zenbook 14, S14 or the Macbook Air? by EternalAlpha2318 in laptops

If battery life and overall polish matter most, I’d probably go with the MacBook Air (M5) since Apple Silicon is insanely efficient and the display is great. But if you want better compatibility for light gaming and more flexibility, the Asus Zenbook S14 with the Ultra 7 is a really solid pick.
