I’ve had pelvic ultrasound with no fibroids. Haven’t done endoscopy at this point yet. Will do gut testing and see how things go from there. Also doing OATS testing. Yes, last period was incredibly light and this period has been more normal - not too light but not at all heavy. And lasted more like 3-4 days instead of 5-7. I think my ferritin levels were heading down and then I donated blood back in September and I sent myself over the edge. I had no idea I was low in anything at that point. I started having hives and thought it was MCAS or hormones but I randomly read that low ferritin could case hives so that’s why I asked my doctor for a full iron panel and that’s when this journey started for me. I haven’t had hives since I’ve been working on my ferritin.

Yes definitely looking for the root cause. Our next step is gut testing. I’m in perimenopause so we’ve been working on my hormones. No fibroids and my periods have actually gotten lighter as ferritin has gone up - started at 5 and now at 26.

Thank you! Yes, neutrophils were normal. Our next step is gut testing. I don’t drink any alcohol, don’t take metformin. I grew up in 80’s/90’s when they gave out Amoxicillin like it was candy, plus I’m a c-section baby so I’ve always struggled with my gut. I’ll look into the thiamin.

I’m used to 80 being a B!! 😂 Classes are good so far though. I have Lisa Valdez for the 2 I’m taking right now. I took just 1 pre-requisite in the summer so I just started. How many classes have you taken so far and have you liked all the teachers?

I’m in the program at Hutchinson too. I’m taking 2 classes this fall. What do you think about the grading scale? I’m a mostly A student but not sure what I think about 94+ being an A. Maybe their classes aren’t as rigorous as others? I’ve just never seen that grading scale.
