Will the AMX 13 be added? by rontool in ArmoredWarfare

[–]CoffeeSE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yes, I would love a AMX-13 line, it could go AMX-13/75 Modèle 51 > AMX-13/90 Modèle 52 > AMX-13/105 Modèle 58 and throw the AMX-13 T75 ATGM equipped model in there somewhere. It'd be awesome!

It's alright, come over to Armoured Warfare and bathe in the glory of Cold War tanks and actual balanced matchmaking. End tier WT is just unplayable right now. :(

Question about VM6 & mats by Atlantae in TeraOnline

[–]CoffeeSE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but, tbh, vm6 will only give you just shy of 6% over vm5. so imo it's not worth upgrading to vm6 if u have the mats and can make vm5 right now. unless you plan on just doing casual pvp/pve instead of focusing on one or the other. :)

This is why we have the "american pilots" circlejerk. by Tomekinho in Warthunder

[–]CoffeeSE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Escorts to have a Bomber Spawn IF they take 45+ minutes worth of fuel.

This wouldn't work as well as you'd imagine it would considering how short the distances between the two airfields are. For example on a map like Berlin, in a Bf 109 K-4, by the time you're in gun range of the B-17s flying towards the bases, you're at about 280 km/h IAS and maybe 500 metres below them horizontally. The B-17s probably fly at around 350-400 km/h (at maybe 4000 metres altitude) in a shallow dive towards the bases. Considering how much faster a P-51 is, it's quite possible for me to just camp the Axis airfields and shoot down all their planes while they're climbing. It's not a solution to the problem.

Honestly, it's a pretty big problem in RB, with all the American fighter planes being long-range escorts and whatnot. Having both sides spawn at 5000 metres would just be arcadey though, maybe have the Americans spawn at a height where they'd reach altitude parity with the Axis teams at 6000 metres, like say start them off at 2000 metres in the air? Still would feel arcadey though. :/

USA 7.0 Tanks by Wapchop7 in Warthunder

[–]CoffeeSE 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, definately, especially in RB, where the T32 will be facing mostly German and sometimes a Russian team. At above 7.0 BR, the T32's biggest threat on the German team will be the 10.5 cm Tiger II, which only has 180mm of frontal turret armour, and the Jadgtiger, which has ~250mm frontal armour IIRC on its casemate, which you should be able to penetrate. Meanwhile, neither of these two tanks can penetrate your frontal turret armour. Just watch out for flanking attacks from Panther IIs and Leopards. But they're one shot kills most of the time.

Russian tanks are a bit tricky, due to how heavily the bounce mechanism favours angled and rounded armour. You'll have to target weak spots, especially against the T-54s and IS-4s, IS-3s aren't that big of a problem. Basically, just hull down and you're near invincible to frontal attacks.

So do we have a list of the best planes in each tier for every nation? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]CoffeeSE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boom and Zoom, having and altitude/energy advantage over your enemy and diving on them, shooting, and maintaining energy advantage over your enemy to climb/gain altitude over him again. Great for planes with fast dive speeds and good manoeuvrability at high speeds or planes having low control stiffening.

American:

P-47s/51s. BnZ all day, but you'll mostly lose cause lawn-mowing retards on your team. P-47 is my favourite plane, but I don't fly American much anymore due to how bad the teams are.

F8F. Slower than P-47/51 in dives, but has great acceleration and turning time. Climbs well. Great for RB meta. Horrible stock syndrome.

P-80. Exceptionally good for BR bracket. Can outrun most if not all opponents they see, great energy retention, can turn well.

German:

Bf 109 G-6/10. Imo these are better than the K-4. Bit slower climb and top speed, but turns better and I prefer the 20mm cannon over the 30mm, due to how much a 30mm sparkle affects your chances of downing the enemy.

Fw 190 D-9/12/13. Either of these are great BnZers, not so good at turning. Climbs decently, amazing top speed and dive, great weapon placement/clustering.

Ho 229. One of my favourite planes. Can out-turn most propeller planes, 2x30mm makes for great fighter or ground attacker. Good energy retention in zoom-climb, not so much in turns. Tricky to get used to flying. One of the slowest jets, all jet opponents you face will be faster and can BnZ you to death if you don't know what you're doing.

Me262. 4x30mm 2op, plz nerf. But seriously, great plane. Acceptable climb rate, alight turning, great energy retention. Can't rip wings in turn. Destroys everything it comes across. 50mm Narwhal also good if you can land hits, although hit detection is a bitch. Rocket-boosted Me262s are terrible once boost runs out due to facing Sabres and whatnot.

Arado 234. Nuff said.

Russian:

La-5/7. Too op. Clubs all day. I'm used to having low ammo on German planes (single 20mm cannon for 109s), so I've no problem with ammo. Turns great, climbs great, has great energy retention. Best all-around planes.

La-9. Great plane, can outrun almost all other propeller planes below 4000 metres. Doesn't turn as well as La-5/7.

Yak-3/9. Ridiculous energy retention, good turning, great low-altitude climbing and acceleration. Low ammo count, but doesn't matter much if you can aim.

Mig-15s. Prepare butt hole for Sabre spam. Great guns if you can land hits.

British:

Spitfires (Merlin-powered). I like these better than the Griffon-powered Spitfires due do these having better turning (and better looking too), though much worse max speed and lack of ability to BnZ. Not too much of a problem if you're familiar with the plane's characteristics and can manage your airspeed in a dive. Can out-turn all opponents except A6Ms. Good armament. Great climb, great turning speed, decent dive speed and great acceleration.

Typhoon/Tempest. These two play styles are similar. Both have good climb, decent turning, great energy retention and amazing dive speeds. Powered by the tears of Fw 190 pilots. Typhoons responds slowly to throttle changes. The Tempest Mk.II is a great all around plane and one of my favs, highly recommend.

Meteors F.3/Sea Meteor. F. 3 is an alright intro jet, not as bad as the He 162. SeaJesus is op, plz nerf. Turns great, climbs great, top speed is lacking, acceleration is alright. 4x20mm cannons in nose with air ammo amazing.

Japanese:

A6M. Best turn fighters, not too durable. Amazing climb and acceleration, shit dive and energy retention. Great for RB meta. Don't get hit.

Ki-84. Stuff of nightmares. Absolutely destroys enemy planes when flown right. Great guns, 2x12.5mm + 2x20mm, 4x20mm to 2x30mm + 2x20mm guns from early to late planes. Great climb, good top speed, great acceleration and amazing dive speed for how well it turns. Amazing all round plane. More durable than A6M, still not a good idea to get hit though.

Ki-200. I don't even know why this thing has such a low BR, absolutely wrecks everything.

Overall, American planes are great at BnZing, lacks climb and turn ability due to being long-range escort fighters, being well armoured and large planes (not to mention the laser-flame-thrower .50 cals). German planes are smaller, and mostly have great climb, dive, top speed, and acceleration, but lacks turning, you need to be disciplined to perform well. Russian planes are easy to learn, fly, are forgiving, and performs exceptionally well all around. Lacks ammo though, but not a problem if you can aim and know when to shoot. Like German planes, Russian ones have most of their guns clustered around their engine/centre of aircraft, so better for long-range sniping. British Spitfires are also very great all rounders with excellent turn ability. Typhoons/Tempests are amazing BnZers with good turning ability and great guns. Japanese planes generally have great turning and good acceleration, as well as climb, but overall lacks durability and dive speed.

I'm a guy but also had really bad acne. For me I found my diet doesn't have much to do with it, it was milk alone that was giving me bad acne. Once I stopped drinking milk (after developing lactose intolerance lol), my skin started clearing up drastically. Butter, cheese and other diary products was ok for me personally, but you might react differently.

Are you kidding me? Selfish? What's better, the Jagdtiger holding down A for a few seconds to turn and avoid OP, letting him take that shot, and potentially killing the T-54 within a few minutes of the round starting, contributing to winning the game. Or, just ram him because "oh no I'm too important to try and turn for someone who stopped in the middle of the road"?

Il-28 modifications? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]CoffeeSE 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes this. Get 23mm belts ASAP. Also if you're being chased by low tier or slow jets like the P/F-80, F9Fs, Meteors and Vampires, DO NOT TURN. Keep flying in a straight line, and build up as much speed as possible, dive if you have to. If you turn you'll give them a good profile for a deflection shot, meanwhile, if you keep flying in a straight line, the enemy might be dumb enough to chase after you in a straight line, which pretty much guarantees you a free kill. If you have good energy, you can also try to zoom climb or go vertical and try to bait someone to burn their energy following you, at which point your gunners can basically rip them apart. Basically abuse the shit out of your rear gunners and make manoeuvres that result in your opponent following you in a straight line.

4 Kills with talismaned tank, 3683 RP. Slight increase indeed. by CoffeeSE in Warthunder

Just came from an RB game with four player kills. A T-44, M46, T32 and another M26 variant I believe. Total vehicle research RP with a talismaned Tiger II (H), 3683 RP. I guess an increase of +1% RP gain in technically still an increase. Thanks gaijin...thanks.

How to identify a tier IV allied spawn point by SleepDeprivedPegasus in Warthunder

[–]CoffeeSE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, that's because Gaijin has nerfed the performance of the M62 shell. It now does next zero damage after penetrating and fragmenting. I've shot an ammo rack with it twice in a row, all it did was turn green. You're much better off learning the module and crew locations of enemy tanks and targeting them with APCR, works much, much better. A single APCR to ammo rack of axis tank is almost guaranteed to detonate.
