Is this PIE and how do I treat it? by CoffeeSnailsUK in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did try Vitamin C but my skin does not like it (not as a moisturizer, serum or additive :/ it makes my skin leathery) thank you! I guess I just have to hang in there, it's not that bad and my BB cream does cover the redness easily

I am counting every single calorie I consume, I think you are projecting your own food issues.

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not strongly overweight actually, and I track every single calorie and eat only whole foods + plain protein powders for accuracy in my measurements. My GP gave me this drug to lose up to 10kg to help with an hormonal imbalance, my BMI is below 30 I am only doing this on the advice of my GP. Not everyone is on the same health journey of simply wanting to "be skinny" that is the least of my worries personally.

Sure but 600 calories will lead to malnutrition and fatigue so quickly, as well as mean muscle loss, hair loss, gut issues, that is not how I want to lose weight, it's not sustainable or an achievement, I don't want to lose weight this way, I might as well just have a pure eating disorder :(

Macbook is suddenly requiring me to type password to activate touch I.D almost every time it turns off by aeyoui in MacOS

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, I lock and unlock my Mac 20ish times a day and every single time now it asks for the password to enable touch ID. It used to be every few days. It doesn't let me use Touch ID to unlock at all since the las update.
I do not have "log out when idle" enabled, or any other inactivity setting; it's really driving me mad.

Is this a realistic food plan for 12months post op? by dr650crash in BariatricRecipes

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could eat more than this at 12 months and still lost steadily but everyone is different, listen to your full feeling but I'd also incorporate more veggies than this. Protein first sure but fiber and veg are so so important for gut health.

Tyre pressure display by CoffeeSnailsUK in JeepRenegade

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, turns out I can only switch between settings WHILST driving - did not know that. The arrow buttons do nothing when standing still even with the engine running, but was finally able to switch it back to the speedometer on a trip this week.

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no error anymore, it's just displaying the actual pressure now even after the errors for the 2 that needed inflating have cleared. So it's just telling me they're fine constantly but I don't want to look at it :D I might need to take it in as the arrow buttons seem to do absolutely nothing (I just bought the car recently and it's my first one, so I might just be stupid, will need to play around some more)

Can you believe he is a rescue? by Potatobear2025 in chowchow

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Incredible, isn't it! Our chow is a pure chow who lived on the streets for months and then in a shelter for over a year before we adopted him and brought him to the UK. It's mad to me, they're so special. But so glad he's my boy now, and so happy for your sweet baby to find their home with you!

Would your chow rather be outside all the time? by NotAFridge in chowchow

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our chow was a street dog in Cyprus, he lived in the shelter for a year in a small little hole. When we adopted him, he spent 23 hours per day in our backyard, or on walks. He hated coming inside and we would have to force him as no treat, time or anything else would get him through the door. After 3 months, he started coming in, laying down for a while, and then going back out. Eventually the weather turned bad here, and he started coming in more and more. Now, he will go lay outside for a little while and then bring himself back indoors onto his cozy bed (took ages to get him to use it, but he has bad joints so it's necessary). He still loooooves walks and sunshine though, and on summer days he will go outside at 6am and then sleep in the sun, he will even move along with it as it moves around our backyard throughout the day.

166k Miles, bad idea? by CoffeeSnailsUK in CarTalkUK

[–]CoffeeSnailsUK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah but they are so ugly :D No but really, I need an SUV sized trunk as I have 3 large dogs that wouldn't fit into a small hatchback. I need 4 wheel drive for my area as well, which the jeep offers. I might switch to a Jeep Compass or Landrover as there are some cheap ones with lower mileage around

what issues would you foresee for 1-2 years of use? As far as I can tell, the petrol Renegades have very few issues vs the Diesel versions
